My journey began 15 years ago with a physical diagnosis that precipitated severe depression and anxiety, I was simultaneously co-parenting 2 young sons who both require intensive special ed. Though my physical symptoms had gone into remission, my depression, anxiety and sense of mid-life crisis, had not. The current COVID-19 crisis has forced us all to live with a kind of isolation that can easily lead to despair. How do we navigate this new world? If you need support in this critical moment and are experiencing anxiety, depression or simply an inability to cope, I would like to help. I hold a Master of Science from Columbia University and Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. My experience includes intensive work with mood disorders, trauma, addiction, couples therapy and bereavement in private practice as well as inpatient psychiatric and inpatient rehab settings.

History

Established in 2009.

I chose to become a psychotherapist largely as a result of my own life experiences. Perhaps, because of this, my patients often report feeling understood in a way they had not expected. I believe you will find I bring warmth, empathy, understanding and maturity to our every session. We are moving through a period of ever-present uncertainty in our community and our world. Together let's find a way to cope with this suddenly new reality -- one guided by wisdom gained from a better understanding of our past as we pursue a future with a greater sense of well-being.

I hold a Master of Science from Columbia University and Bachelor of Arts from the Univeristy of California, Berkeley. My experience includes hospital, psychiatric and addiction rehab work in multiple practice settings with a wide range of patients presenting with mental health and/or substance use diagnoses. Trained in the fields of psychotherapy, clinical psychology and psychiatric social work I am guided by my rigorous studies in each of these disciplines.
