I would strongly advise anyone who values their pets' safety and well-being to avoid this clinic at…read moreall costs. I booked my two mini schnauzers for full grooming, expecting a professional service. Instead, I was met with incompetence, dishonesty, and complete disregard for animal welfare. Upon drop-off, the groomer openly admitted she had never done a standard schnauzer cut before but was "excited to try." That alone should have been the first red flag. After 3 hours, I called for an update (after multiple attempts to even reach someone) only to be told that my dogs were just finishing their baths and it would be another 3-4 hours before they were done. When I asked what they were doing during all that time, I was casually told they were being locked in kennels -- for potentially 8 hours total. My dogs have never been kenneled and have never taken more than 3-4 hours for a full groom elsewhere. When I questioned this, the staff member dismissively responded, "Well what do you want me to do about it?" At that point, I told them to stop and I would pick my dogs up immediately. I was still charged $77 for nothing more than baths and brushing. It took nearly 10 minutes for them to even bring my dogs out, and when they did, both were frightened and whining. I asked to speak to the office manager, Tamren, to explain my concerns. She finally came out after several minutes with a fake smile, a smug attitude, and an apology that placed the blame on me for "not being aware" of their process, as if this was my mistake for being a first-time customer. Her dismissive, cold demeanor made it clear she had no genuine concern for what had happened to my pets. After getting home, my dogs drank water as if they hadn't been given any all day -- confirming my fear that they were left locked up, without proper care or monitoring. This place operates more like a puppy mill assembly line than a professional grooming service. The staff and management appear money-driven, not animal-focused, and in my experience showed no regard for the comfort or safety of my pets. If you love your animals, do not take them here. The office manager Tamren sets the tone for this clinic, and it is one of arrogance, carelessness, and disregard for the very clients they should be protecting.

Main points: - cost effective (I'm a grad student so trust…read moreme on this one) - empathetic and compassionate - trustworthy - easy to fit into their schedule I adopted my first dog five days ago and the day after adopting her, she started having some issues urinating. They did everything they possibly could and treated both her and I with the most compassion and empathy. Every interaction I had with all the doctors, technicians, and receptionists over a period of four days was excellent. Turns out, it was an issue with nerves in her bladder, possibly from issues with her spay which was done at a different vet. We ended up having to euthanize her, but the doctor explained everything to me in depth and gave me options on what we could do to be most cost effective, as I'm on a pretty tight budget as a grad student. The vet and a technician stayed with me in the room and talked me and her through the whole process. I just moved to Stillwater so no family could be here with me during this difficult experience, but during that moment I felt like they were family. They treated my dog like she was their own too. They made an extremely hard moment feel a little bit calmer for both of us and for that I am so grateful and I know Pepper is too.

Every time I go to this clinic, they try to upsell me hundreds of dollars of additional services…read more In the past, I was allowed to stay focused on the actual thing that's wrong with my pet. But now it's not even an option. Want a simple Depo shot for seasonal allergies? You will have to agree to pay hundreds for extra services you absolutely don't need, or they won't help your pet! Latest example: I had previously taken my cat in for a simple Depo shot, as she gets seasonally itchy. I was told I could stop by and get the shot without paying for a full diagnostic again. (This has been an ongoing issue for several years. The Depo shot gets her through the rough patch and she's back to normal by fall). It had been over a year since the seasonal itching was a problem, so I called the receptionist first to make sure I wouldn't have to pay for additional services, since I know that happens a lot at this clinic. Receptionist checked with the doctor and assured me I could just do the Depo shot. No extra services. So on my day off, I drove over and sit outside, because they haven't allowed people to go inside the building since 2020. It's now July 2023. The tech or whomever comes outside and tells me I'll need to pay for a full diagnostic and also a rabies vax. I'm immediately annoyed because this clinic is forever pulling shenanigans like this. I tell the woman my cat has already had rabies vax and I was told we could do a simple Depo shot today, since it's a known, ongoing issue. She says she doesn't know who told me that, but I'll need the extra services. I explain that the receptionist told me that after talking with the doctor. She doesn't go to check with the receptionist. And I can't get corroboration from the receptionist or doctor because I'm now allowed inside the building! The woman insists that I'll need all of the extra services or they can't help my cat. This clinic will refuse to help your pet, unless you agree to pay hundreds of dollars for EXTRA things your pet doesn't need. I'm calling another vet today, but I'm positive that the greedy business practices of this clinic will cause pets out there to suffer as most people simply can't afford to pay hundreds of dollars for services they don't need.

My review will be about the aquatic section…read more I have mixed feelings about this store. On one hand, there are some good aquatic workers who are very knowledgeable and make the best of a bad situation. When they were out of anacharis, (Critique #1: Frequently out of stock.) a worker was able to find me enough floating in the tank, bundle it up, and send it home with me at no charge when I purchased another plant. They do free water tests too. When one of the (not as good) workers dropped a fish, put it back in the tank, then accidentally sold it to me, the fish was dead by morning (obviously). I went back the next day, and a different worker let me have two adolescent fish that had just come in the store. That was nice, and my tank population was 4. But the two (not dropped) bumblebee platies died from unknown causes in a few days. It started with listlessness and then wasting away to death. But the new adolescent platies are active, and my water tested as safe at the store. The recently deceased fish would be covered in the warranty, but I don't think I'll go back for replacements. Maybe the new fish will be suddenly ill like the others. It is the nearest aquatic pet supply to where I live, but I may travel farther away for the actual fish. As a PetCo Pals reward member, you get a $5 coupon for every $100 you spend.

They called me to say they needed me come back to get my big gentle guardian dog out of the kennel because they were afraid of her and didn't wanna let her out. They said she was vicious. She had to have been hurt to act that way. They blamed it on the weather. She's never been averse to bad weather, laying right out in thunderstorms. They always put some kind of scent on the dog that's not natural and I can't breathe when she's in the backseat. You have to bring in your own shampoo to avoid that. The last time I took her in I got my money back because they shampooed her but never rinse the shampoo in the dirt out. For days I was washing dirt off my hands after petting her. I would never use them again.
