The store is clean, set up pretty well, and the employees were nice and engaging. They even laughed at a very lame joke I made, which is always a plus. One small criticism: I found my product (a Canadian blended whiskey) in the bourbon section. That puzzled me. My brand was also a buck more expensive than my regular liquor store. As I said, I'm not in this part of town very often, but I imagine I'll be back when I'm ever in the neighborhood in need of booze.

How the mighty have fallen! When I first started patronizing Riverbend Wine and Spirits, Miss…read moreShaunte' provided excellent customer service. However, she left quite a while back. The customer service continued to be good, but not what I'd call stellar. When the new manager came on board (I can't remember her name) customer service started to suffer. She always seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. She was never friendly or personable. As someone who has hosted a lot over the years, I've dropped a sizeable amount of cash in this establishment. Just today, I bought over $100 worth of product and received attitude like I've never seen anywhere else. I had questions about a store raffle they were having but she was unable to answer any questions about the details. A manager that can't tell you how a promotion or giveaway her own store is running? That's a red flag for me. Finally she disclosed that she's not part of the giveaway, that it's her supervisor's idea. She wasn't forthcoming with a way to contact said supervisor with questions. Red flag number two. She started out our conversation like she was in a bad mood, and it slowly escalated as I tried to understand through clarifying questions how she, the manager, didn't know the details of the store's promotion. I finally gave up and left, and it will probably be a long time until I return, if at all. Over the past five years I've spent quite a lot of money hosting different events, and if she's unwilling to answer simple questions without attitude, then perhaps my dollars are better spent elsewhere. There are plenty of other establishments in town that would love someone who spends freely in their store.

We tried several wines and ended up choosing two bottles that we loved. The Governor's Red and a Merlot. The winery has some great things to choose from outside of wine. I snagged some cheeses, wine salt, and trinkets. The vineyard is beautiful and very picturesque. Lots of picnic benches to sit on and eat or sip your wine. Will definitely be back with our picnic table cover and to catch the live music. Highly recommend for a date or a day trip. If you come on a day where the food trucks or aren't available, pack a charcuterie box or picnic bag, a little Bluetooth speaker and grab a bottle of wine to enjoy outside. The vineyard has a romantic atmosphere that we really enjoyed.

Hubs actually was exploring our route and discovered this place so we bookmarked it in case we had time. Both times we visited, we were kind of strapped for time so we have yet to go on the tour. They do allow for tastings of their many boozes but they limit it to 6 or 8, which is very smart. I think we did not have that many our recent trip. Since we purchased 6 bottles our first trip (they give a discount for 6+ bottles), we were already familiar and wanted to try some of their new items. Both times we visited, we brought in our dog and she received a lot of attention. They have dog toys so of course I had to buy her one each time. Now those are really expensive! The prices vary for their bottles, maybe averaging about $55. Some are cheaper and many are more expensive than that. They also sell merchandise in the same room you do the tastings. We never have time but they do free tours and I wanna say they last about 45 minutes. It is in the middle of nowhere so it's not like you can make a day out of it any stay in town, while filling up an entire itinerary for a day. We really enjoy their bourbon and keep stock of the Blueberry and Mint Julep flavored bourbons. Everyone is always hospitable when we visit and that motivated us more to support them!

First, the catering planning team made it easy on the front end, graciously responding to my inquiries in the months leading up to the event (as our planning committee wanted this to be special for our classmates). On the day of the event as we were setting up, the Old Glory staff members assigned to us were accommodating, "hustling" for us, including helping me with the video and audio hookups and testing (as I'm not too tech savvy). Then, once the event started, the food was just GREAT (as we ordered the BBQ Buffet option). We had about 100 people attend and there was food left over for anyone who wanted to have take-home plates, and many did so. Our 40th reunion was nothing short of incredibly special, and Old Glory and the team that worked our event were integral to what my classmates across the board say was a great reunion! We're grateful, and plan to hold our future class get-togethers there. Thanks, Old Glory, and Go 'Cats!

I try to support locally owned businesses especially when the big box store (W.M) is up the street. Lottery tickets are sold here too!!! The store is well organized that a girl can find her favorite bottle of alcohol without wandering aimlessly down aisles. Yes this has happened to me, ok.
