Pretty middle-of-the-line when it comes to Utah liquor stores. This one doesn't usually have too long of lines, but it can get backed up when there are rushes because I've never seen more than 2 checkout lanes open at once. And when this happens, the lines go right through the main wine selection, so good luck if you were wine shopping. My biggest gripe here is that the selection isn't that good, and there is a lot of unused shelf space. Why can't they give us more options instead of just leaving empty shelves with nothing on them. The wine rang up as something else. None of us realized it until I tried to buy more as a second transaction thinking it was on some kind of crazy sale. Second time the wine rang up as glassware. Instead of honoring the price for the first bottle THAT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR they had me return it. So apparently, alcohol IS returnable when it's convenient to the state owned liquor store. I love this liquor store & the staff. I've always had a great experience, & two guys up front very friendly. To the people that wrote bad responses obviously was having a bad day themselves. As far as the two old men Up front. You must be in your 20's, because you have no idea how to treat people. That generation needs to learn work ethics, & manner. I have been to this liquor store soooo many times and others in my local area, and have never had any issues or someone treat me like this till now. I have actually really always enjoyed the staff here and there are specifically a few men who every time I'm there are running the store very well. I have truly loved this store up until an experience and the service I received from an employee named Megan. She initiated by looking at my ID for maybe not even 1 second, and instantly started telling me to my face my ID looks nothing like me, didn't even question or look at DOB or anything it seemed, just my picture, and instantly argued with me about it just not looking like me, and didn't even follow protocol by asking me questions from info on my ID, or checking the ID further or in the light, or scanning it or calling over her manager if it truly was a concern. I told her I would have hoped I look just a little different now as it's been years since my last photo ID was taken, and I have obviously lost weight and darkened my hair a little, and until I said that she then looked at my DOB and things on it it further, which I felt was so interrogated without a reason and her not even looking at it truly at first, and it having to get to that point. I'm not sure why I needed to explain that to her without her even checking it, and again if it was a true concern she should have followed protocol in checking it first. It was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional the way she handled it, and did not seem ethical whatsoever. Especially for someone who has always followed laws and is always respectful ,and have never even been questioned in my LIFE before this experience and service really disappointed me. I understand people have a job to do, but follow protocol in checking the ID first before questioning and doing it in a more ethical, professional way. read more

Oh Utah... it'd be great if someone who actually made the liquor laws used the stores. This store is one of the better ones around; it stays clean and the employees are more friendly than in other stores. The parking is a little bit obnoxious, but not a deterrent, and certainly not any more than other ones. This store could use some more space, as it often gets crowded with lines going up the isles, blocking other customers from shopping the selections. My recommendation would be to shop between 11:00 - 12:00 and 1:00-3:00. The lunch hour and late afternoon and evenings are much more crowded. You should also know that if you need to make a special order of anything, they require you to order a complete case, which will up the price significantly. read more

I am a manager at a country club, as such we rely on the liquor store to help us keep our club stocked with the yummy stuff they like. We spend lots of money doing this. Most of the stores are nice, helpful and have all around great attitudes. Today an assistant manager went to the riverside store to pick up an order, we put in the prior day at 3pm, The order wasn't ready yet, so we waited( not a problem at all). However the man that helped her collect the order was rude, condescending, impatient and very snappy. I understand the world is "crazy" right now, but do we have to lose all manners? read more

Terrible service, asked staff a simple question of if they had extra boxes and was treated very rudely. I would not recommend shopping here but of course being a Utah resident our overlords won't allow non-state liquor stores. read more
