Just a simple appreciation of a retailer who gets it right. Expansive and logical (as is their…read moregrocery operation) Wegmans liquor store within a store is a self-navigators dream. Signage that makes sense and inventory levels that allow you to raise your tumbler high and wonder what's really chaffing people about this supply chain thing. And even though beer ain't really my jam they have all of the mix and match micro-brews any self respecting backward baseball hat wearing barfly could want. Who's up for an asparagus maple IPA? I'm not... but it's there if you prefer drinking your pancakes and vegetables. Wegmans liquor is an easy five stars and if you're seeing double, make that ten stars.

I'm not much of a drinker. I couldn't tell you the difference between a cognac and a whiskey…read more However, I was looking for a particular brand of an alcoholic beverage and having called several liquor stores without any luck, I thought I'd try this place by actually running into the store. I wasn't sure where to look, so after about 10 minutes of aimlessly walking around, I finally stopped and asked for help. Apparently they carry the brand, but not the flavor I was looking for. I asked if there was a way they could order it, and they looked like I was asking them to commit a heinous crime. I pretty much got the runaround - "call us later and we'll check", "probably need to talk to a manager", "have to wait until the local sales rep stops in..." USELESS, I TELL YA. I will say the store was clean and displays were nice.

Froggies is a corner liquor store that also sells the lottery. The prices are okay, because you…read moreare paying for convenience and location. If you need to stock up for a party you may be better off going somewhere else. However if you have any special requests, just ask them and they can usually have it ordered. Also, if you are buying a case of wine ask for a discount and they will usually knock 5-10% off.

Honestly, the reasons I ever entered Froggie's were the following:…read more1) Sometimes I didn't feel like going to Freddy's, especially if it were rush hour and thus required driving down White Horse Pike. 2) My roommate and I were not fans of Oaklyn discount liquor. Not at all. 3) The name is Froggie's and has a big frog on its sign Now that those admissions are out of the way, I will say Froggie's has an okay stock of booze. Odd things are cheap, and others are not. Freddy's is preferable when looking for wine or an array of beer. For the hard stuff, Froggie's is usually fine. There is no charm to Froggie's, if you look for that sort of thing. The cashiers are shady guys, and most of the customers tend to be even shadier. This is the place out of which old, white haired alckies seep. Pairs of darting eyes and laconic stares wait in beat up cars in the parking lot. They do not carry 18 packs of High Life, rarely 12 packs. My roommate remembers this distinctly.

The Ultimate Destination for Wine, Spirits, and Craft Selections…read moreHaving shopped at Total Wine & More on Route 38 for years, this location remains the absolute gold standard for selection and scale in Southern New Jersey. If I haven't left a review yet, it is long overdue for a local landmark that delivers such consistently stellar service. * Unrivaled Variety: Walking through the massive aisles is an experience in itself. The global wine collection, extensive spirit inventory, and craft beverage selection cover every region, style, and vintage imaginable. * Exceptional Value & Pricing: You simply cannot beat the value per bottle. High-end labels and reliable everyday favorites are consistently priced to deliver maximum value. * Seamless Customer Experience: Despite the expansive floor space, the store is immaculately organized, brilliantly lit, and staffed by an attentive team that makes finding exact vintages effortless. The Verdict: The benchmark for selection, value, and retail execution. Five stars all around!

My love and I had a fun time celebrating Valentine's Day early at a Chocolate and Wine Tasting…read moreclass at Total Wine and More! This is the second class we've attended at the Cherry Hill location. They always have a robust calendar of monthly events, many of which are only $20 per person. So reasonable! You must purchase your tickets in advance (online). Seating is open (classroom style) and they provide light refreshments at the start of the event (meats, cheeses, fruit, and crackers). I am a big proponent of hydration and they have tons of water on hand. The classes are led by Total Wine and More employees and each person has their own unique style. They normally start with a PowerPoint presentation about the featured wines, and then wine sipping begins shortly thereafter. Our only "gripe" is the time it takes for the wine glasses to be filled. They have one person filling the glasses, and when the class is packed, it takes them a while to get to everyone. This disrupts the flow of the session. It may be beneficial to begin filling the glasses at the start of the class, rather than just as we are about to begin tasting. That aside, we always walk away feeling like we learned something valuable and fun. They offer nice discounts if you decide to purchase the wines you sampled. They in no way pressure you to purchase anything you tasted. We look forward to attending additional events!
