I don't ever see too many cars here but maybe it's because its in "the cut". This particular store is clean, organized & has a great staff who are ALWAYS eager to either help you find something your are looking for or SUPER EXCITED to introduce you to something new. The displays are very eye-catching and the prices are reasonable. This particular store offers a military discount on most products except for the obvious, the spirits but I will NEVER complain. I went here over the weekend to buy my husband cigars. I found that they have a whole room humidor (Not sure if that's what it's called) but it was very nice. Well lit, well stocked. Found exactly the brand's he had asked for and bought a couple others for him to try. Pricing was comparable to other places. As for beer and liquor, I didn't purchase any but I did stroll around the store. I would be surprised if they didn't have what you were looking for, it's a fairly large store. Clean and organized. Today is like the first day of the rest of my life...Liquor Barn is actually open in Elizabethtown. Finally, a liquor store that doesn't think selling "Cupcake" and "Barefoot" wines qualifies as a reasonable actual wine selection. Fairly standard, if you're familiar with their other stores in Louisville, etc., located in the old Office Depot location. The site, outdoors and in (which always looked a bit derelict) has been spiffed up. The space is comfortable and well-appointed; doesn't suffer from the same 'big box store' feel of some of their locations. We'll see how knowledgeable their staff is after they've settled in. As of now, I know their staff (not the manager or assistant managers who are both everywhere and no where, but their low-guy or -girl-on-org-chart, actually at the registers) don't know how to process coupons attached to items their store is selling, resulting in overcharges. That's pretty crappy, but, frankly, still better than what is available at other area shops. read more

My friend wanted alcohol so we went to the liquor barn in etown. We were checking out and she asked for my ID instead of my friend and scanned it. Then she asked me where I I put the shots that I had in my hand from the front of the store. I said I didn't have anything. My friend was looking at the kinky fruit punch in the little shot bottle and I said they might have it in a bigger bottle. So I picked up one of the kinky fruit punch shots and took 2 steps away from the front of the store and My friend said "what are you doing" I said "I'm reading it to see what kind of alcohol it is so we can find it quicker". Then I walked the two steps back up front and put it back. So when we checked out she was saying "I watched you walk away from the front with a shot in your hand you need to show me where you put it". I told her multiple times I put back the shot I had in my hand and I never left the front with it. She basically kept calling me a liar so I told her to call the manager up there. The manager basically threatened me and said "I'll have the manager watch the cameras and if you took something you'll be hearing about it". I was so pissed and still am I'm calling the store manager tomorrow. read more

Absolutely delightful staff!!! Easy to locate using gps. Nice store, easy floor plan. Lots of beer, wine, liquor, snacks, sundries and mixes. This is a fully loaded liquor store. They give a military discount. Polite telephone etiquette when I called to see if they were open. No one hovering once you get in the store. Nice staff helps if you need it. The widest selection you will find in the surrounding area. Clean, organized , well priced and most importantly a professional staff who go out of their way to assist you with anything. Rob, the Spirits Manager, is so knowledgeable on every brand from top to bottom shelf and can help you with anything. It's also pretty cool they have beer on tap and you get to shop while drinking your beer. Did I mention they have a walk in humidor? I have been supporting the Liquor Barn stores for many years . I am really glad they have opened the Elizabethtown area store which is closer for me to my hometown in Cloverport. I am disabled and this makes it an easier trip to obtain my needed items . The manager and their employees greet me in a friendly manner and are very willing to help locate and answer questions about the different products which they have available . I have relatives and doctors in the different areas that the Liquor Barns are located so I often use the different stores when I am in their area. The Elizabethtown store is my most used and its the most convenient for me at most times . I support the Liquor Barn stores with their low prices and wide variety of products available. Sold me 3 month expired beer that made me sick. Came back a few weeks later to buy a specific different craft beer and it was also expired. Let the cashier and manager know about it and they refused to do anything. Never had these problems with the other Liquor Barns in Louisville. Appears they never audit their beers for freshness and just sell expired crap to people all the time without even caring. Gave them a chance to make it right in person, but comes down to a bad review now. read more
