With that said, here is Billionaires LA... We hired Billionaires LA for our sons first birthday party and were super excited to have them come out. They had us go to their Tarzana kitchen and taste their food (most of which was good, admittedly.) We were impressed enough to hire them and the owner did the typical spill about how he was not making money off our event and his mission was to build his name. Our party was scheduled to start at 12:30 and our contract with the company stated they would be at the park and fully set up by that time. Not only did they show up at 12:45, but by the owners own admission, it took them 30-45 min to plate just the initial appetizers and they left our guests hungry until almost 1:30. On to the meat that was to be provided. Everything tasted fine but we were completely oversold on how much would be provided. We were contracted for 50 guests and typically catering companies have a little more on hand. By the chefs own admission we were undersupplied skewers of the kabob that was on order. I won't get into specific numbers, but lets just say it was a good number short. We contacted the owner and were simply livid about what had happened. Leading up to the event we clarified with him over and over what was to be provided and he assured us everything would go off without a hitch. He spent a good amount of time bragging about how he throws big parties for Persian celebrities, yet he could not handle a 50 guest birthday party? Weak. Telling us it was raining (the park was in the pacific palisades, there was a marine layer...and everything was dry) and coming up with all sorts of excuses that just simply weren't true, the owner could simply not own up to the fact that he messed up. Period. The worst part of all this was he was able to lure us into paying for his services via cash by telling us that on top of our agreed upon contract price, he would have to charge a 13% fee if we paid by credit card. Looking back on it, that 13% would have been worth it because I would have immediately called to file a hold on the payment to this company. On top of that, the final receipt provided by this company, was a handwritten note on a random piece of paper...seriously, check out the photo. Be weary of using them and make sure you get exactly what you are contracted for. Or better yet, keep looking around for someone who isn't out to take your money. We have a lot of friends and family, not to mention well heeled clients, that throw big parties on a consistent basis and we will definitely make sure people are aware of what happened here and steer clear. Sorry Billionaires LA, mission failed.

Oh my, where do I even begin. No words can describe what an amazing job Peyman and his team did for…read moremy engagement party. Peyman and his team came earlier to set up for our event. As they kept bringing in all the rentals I was getting more and more excited as every piece was beautiful and added an elegant touch. Peyman has an amazing vision and taste and made my engagement party come straight out of a fairy-tale. Lets not forget about his food! From his sushi station that is well beyond better then any sushi restaurant that I have been too. The quality was top notch! His quality is always the best and I dont believe we can get this type of quality of food and amazing presentation any where else. We have had different caterers in the past before we met Peyman and we were left disappointed every time. As we all know, at every Persian party we get last minute guests that like to bring their tag a longs. Regardless of the tag alongs we still had left over food to last us for a whole week. I knew Last Call's bartenders knocked it out of the park when my daughters teenage friends all told her they felt like they were at Barton G's, but guess what it was just our backyard. This compliment was from the cotton candy drink Seanea suggested. I highly recommend it. I knew that this was the bartending company of a lifetime when I got texts the next day from other women complimenting us on how kind and professional the bartenders were. When guests referred to the bartenders by name, I was blown away by how personal the service felt. The drinks were absolutely delicious and beautiful. The ladies were on time for set up and the dry ice display and bubble gun are a MUST DO. The dry ice provides the experience to really make people feel they are somewhere special. I had 52 caterers when I began. Then I narrowed my list down to 5, then 3, then 2, and ultimately I chose Adam. Let me start with the positives. Adam's food is AMAZING. PERIOD. This is not your standard wedding food and you're probably going to have a hard time finding catered food that tastes this good. I actually went to another tasting with a highly-rated caterer but the difference in taste was day and night. Adam was always very nice to me, worked with my budget and made tweaks to suit my needs. But it wasn't a smooth process and there were definitely a couple of hiccups along the way. He did have an attitude towards my wedding planner at times (I heard about this later) and was unorganized BUT we worked through it. Overall, he was a tad hard to work with BUT IF YOU HAVE A WEDDING PLANNER/COORDINATOR who is on top of everything, you should be fine. I'm giving Adam 5 stars because the food came out amazing and he delivered what was promised.

What a terrible customer service experience…read more I found Chef Adam Lewis via Kitchensurfing, a chef booking service. Adam promptly removed Kitchensurfing from the conversation and offered to book my dinner via his own personal catering company, Mercato LA. He offered to have me put a deposit down and pay the balance on the day of my event, which was a better option than paying in full up front (via Kitchensurfing) because my guest count was in flux. I chose to do the former, which turned out to be a mistake. Adam served a lovely meal -- but it was minus one of the four courses (a creamed kale) he had promised and listed as a distinct course on the menu. Instead, he served the kale with the steak, effectively combining two of the courses. In addition, the vegetarians were never served the creamed kale at all, even though it was listed as a course on the menu and Adam never mentioned that vegetarians would not be served all the courses. Some of my guests were still hungry, which was quite embarrassing, as they had paid for a four course meal (and were only served three courses). When I emailed him after the party to discuss the issue, Adam called me and proceeded to YELL at me on the phone about how he is "in the service industry." So offensive. From Adam's perspective, the kale was on some of the plates at one point in the dinner, so he had fulfilled what we paid for, even though it wasn't a full course. We finally came to an agreement that Adam would refund the four vegetarian meals in full. Cut to three weeks later, and I've received a check in the mail...for $40, which Adam says is the price of the kale course for four people, rather than the full amount of the dinner per person as agreed. What a nightmare. Once of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I should never have agreed to go with Adam's personal catering company, Mercato. Gotta stick with Kitchensurfing next time...
