I started seeing Dr. P shortly after moving to Chicago. I was going through a lot of change and I was looking to get adjusted and in a really healthy place mentally. I've dealt with anxiety all my life and I was ready to get it under control. A friend from work recommended her and I'm so glad that she did! I'd say I connected with Dr. P immediately. She made me feel right at home, never pushed me too hard but just enough to get me to focus on improving certainly things about myself. It didn't take long before I was looking forward to our appointments. I'd often come knowing what I needed to talk about and what I needed to work on. But if I didn't, she knew what to say to get me going. Talking with her really helped me process and reflect on things in my life. From there, I was fully capable of dealing with them. After 2.5 years, I can truly say that I am a healthier person, both mentally and physically. The issues I had years ago have improved and I now know how to better handle stress and anxieties that come with everyday life. We were allowed to make a couple of fit changes for one of our minors. Once we found the "right" counselor, it bloomed.
