The Shoppes at Quail Acres is a *small* shopping center that is located on a historic site…read more The property traces its name back to 1837, when William McAlpine Quail built the estate with a mansion, carriage house, barn, and several other buildings. Many of these buildings have been restored and converted into shops. The shopping center contains Pig and Fire House of Barbecue restaurant and about 11 specialty local businesses, including a tattoo parlor, nail salon, barber, hair salon, juicery, a K-9 trainer, and more. In the past couple of years, I have eaten lunches at Pig and Fire House of Barbeque and gotten a snack at Desire to Be Well Juicery. I recommend both of these businesses for their excellent foods, drinks, and service. The buildings look lovely, although I was told that one building lacked adequate insulation for the winter and summer. I deducted one star because I cannot shop for all necessities here.

Emporium II has been around since before I moved to Charleroi. I like the place and I like their…read moreclothing. They have nice selection of clothing from casual to business casual, club, sporty and street clothing. The greeter/cashier, owner and wife have always been helpful and welcoming. The store is always clean. I never had a hard time finding a place to park. They also do piercings. They do piercings at a much more reasonable cost than the mall and specialty places. Maybe I shouldn't have said that...they are probably due for a price increase. They sell body jewelry and incense. The only thing I could say can use improvement is the sizes. I am curvy, and it hurts my heart that I will never be able to fit many of the pants they sell. Most of them cater to those with thigh gaps. But their clothes are super cute and there is a nice selection for boys/men too. I am so happy they are doing well and keep going strong when so many businesses are folding. I hope that when I graduate and have more to spend, I can support them much more than I do now.

Strabane Square is a decent-looking strip mall…read more Currently, Strabane Square contains the following stores: Lowe's Home Improvement, Kohl's department store, Target department store, Giant Eagle grocery store, Dick's Sporting Goods, Michaels (craft store), Dollar Tree, Office Max, PetSmart, AT&T, GNC (supplement store), Ulta (cosmetics store), Bath and Body Works, Mattress Firm, and Pier 1 Imports (furniture and decor). Several other businesses provide services for hair, nails, gasoline, and banking. Current restaurants include TGI Fridays, GetGo Cafe and Market, Starbucks, and Texas Roadhouse. I like some of these businesses and shopped at them. I thought that the parking lot had enough spaces for customers' vehicles and that the area was safe and clean.

Some storefronts were vacant. During my visit, the parking lot had lots of spaces for vehicles. I shopped in several of the stores and found some merchandise that I liked. This shopping center does not contain stores where I can purchase women's clothing and accessories, home decor, and pet supplies. I recommend Tri-County Plaza for local residents to stop by for something specific that they need.
