Not only was the communication poor,…read morebut she charged more than surrounding home-study and post-placement options, and left our family hanging at a very difficult time. She completed our home study for a domestic adoption, and missed several components adding more to our plate with the back and forth communication. When it came to post-placement visits, she completed 1 out of 5 visits then because unreachable to us, our agencies, and another family that we recommended her services to. Between my husband and I, we documented over 20 communication attempts (phone, email and text message) with no luck, as did our agency. This led to pushing back finalization by a couple of months, and a skeptical judge during our family court date. It has been a couple of months and we have not received an apology or explanation, but from what we see and hear she is still doing business. The amazing provider who ended up finishing her job shared that they had to take on many families in the same position that previously used her services.

The homestudy is a really stressful time and I was anxious about a lot of things. But she eased my mind the second she walked in our door! It was like sitting and chatting with an old friend. Easy, comfortable, and the time flew by. She's very responsive via email, very quick to get her home studies written up, very thorough, and very professional. She also is the most reasonably priced person we could find. I recommend her to everyone I meet who is in the adoption process

The technician was such a sweetheart and made sure that I was comfortable. If I were to come in future, I will take my small crochet blanket. There are a lot of stairs if you must do tests upstairs but there are also elevators too. I had a good experience except for being cold. I recommend this clinic keeping warm blankets it helps a lot. But in the meantime I recommend you taking along a favorite small blanket.

These folks have a HUGE selection of gently-used manual wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs (I…read morethink!), wheelchair cushions, hospital beds, toilet chairs, bedpans, portable urinals, laptop tables on wheels (to use with a hospital bed), recliners, etc. I needed a wheelchair because my back problems are getting worse and I kept falling, even with using my rollerator. I didn't want to wait for Medicare/Medicaid to approve a wheelchair purchase b/c they take too long and they usually spend the least amount of money for a person's medical needs. Instead, I paid out of pocket for a nice wheelchair that was originally $300. I paid $85! And the service was great, too. There's a guy named Bob who fixes wheelchairs and other mobility devices. He was friendly and thorough! He made sure that my wheelchair had everything it needed. He swapped out some parts for better parts and fixed the two footrests about two weeks later because one of them kept falling off. All of their profits from sales go back into the Multiple Sclerosis community to help people pay rent, get jobs, etc. I am glad I could help out by buying one of the wheelchairs. I plan on returning in a month or so to buy some more used accessories for my wheelchair. There WAS a weird woman who kept pestering me about things I was looking to buy. At first, I thought she worked there but she was just an obnoxious customer. She kept trying to touch my hair! My caregiver had to tell her to back off! Thankfully, she wasn't there the second time my caregiver and I went there. Anyway... ;-)

Visited the Bistro for lunch this week with Dawn Q. I had the "Chef's Plate" of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans for $4.99. The food was solid, there was a lot of it, and it was cooked and served by students in Goodwill's job training program. My lunch buddy had a veggie wrap and gave her meal two thumbs up as well. I will definitely be back. I stopped by the Coffee Buzz (Goodwill's barista training program coffee shop) on my way out for a cappuccino from some uber-friendly baristas. The foam was perfection, but the drink took about 10 minutes to get to me. I was prepared for the wait, having known this was a training location, but I heard another customer grumbling about his own wait. To this I say -- chill out buddy! They're training, and you should have known this before coming! I'll be back to the Coffee Buzz as well!

Well guess what? Not only was the page NOT updated but Goodwill doesn't even offer the job training program any more. I emailed the address only to have it bounce back as undeliverable. I called the phone number connected with the job training program only to get an automated voice say that the call can not be connected which I might add was listed as the phone number to call on the Goodwill Milgard PDF page. Way to go Goodwill. Don't understand why the page could not have been updated, I had to waste my time emailing, calling a phone number that wasn't any good. I already am going through a difficult time REAL difficult. I feel that this organization could care less. It's public school all over again. Is it because that you are funded & you have this callous "who cares" attitude? Yet I'm shamed because I don't have a job. The receptionist at Goodwill sure wasn't helpful. Want to know what she said to me when I asked her about the program I was interested in, and she said that the program wasn't offered anymore. I grew a bit irritated, then I was silent. She replies with "Is that It"? This place? Awful! Thanks for nothing!

When I told the community representative that I was not returning all she asked was if I could give some reasons to facilitate interaction with future volunteers. No concern for me at all. I have no idea about the reason for the disrespect. I did joke about hair picked up from the vacuum but mentioned it could also be dog hair. When an employee was leaving everyone was at the table.
