We have 3 different kids' Taekwondo classes, 2 teen Taekwondo classes, an adult Taekwondo class and an adult Aiki Jutsu class. All Taekwondo students also learn Kobudo during classes.

History
Established in 1986.
Mr. Ken Gillenwater opened the school in 1986. Mr. Steve Hanford began training in 1991 and has earned his 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo, 3rd degree black belt in Kobudo, and 1st degree black belt in Aiki Jutsu. Mr. Gillenwater passed on the business to Mr. Hanford due to medial reasoning. Mr. Hanford has brought back some of the core principles of martial arts into his teaching and he has extremely updated the school.
Meet the Business Owner: Steve H.
Mr. Hanford began training as a 7 year old in 1991 at an introductory class at the Lakeland Youth Center with Mr. Gillenwater. From that point on, he has trained and loved every minute of it. Mr. Hanford has earned his 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo (kicking and punching), 4th degree in Kobudo (weapons), and 1st degree in Aiki Jutsu (joint locks and throws). Mr. Hanford teaches every class at Lions Karate in North Webster with assistance from his Jr. Black Belts and other high ranks. Mr. Hanford attended Purdue and was part of the Purdue Taekwondo Club and he graduated from IPFW in 2008. He is married with a son. Mr. Hanford is excited to see his students train in order to become Champions in the Ring and Role Models in Society.
