The fun this park offers belies its small, manicured appearance. A turf soccer field allows for year-round games to take place, and an adjacent playground in the style of a treehouse appeals to a wide age range of kids. There's plenty of tall grass and some other foliage, where the kids spotted these cool mushrooms, so at least the artificial turf hasn't obliterated all semblance of nature. (Yay!)
The standalone restrooms were well-equipped on a recent visit, with a gas-fired heater in the corner for those chilly winter days. It could also use a foot-operated door pull so as to provide the option of avoiding contact with the door handle.
Note: We all arrived early for a 10 a.m. Sunday game and found the restroom door locked, but sometime after the match, it was open and available to use. read more
