The bathrooms were clean with plenty of stalls and the backstage area was well maintained. The theater itself has lots of seating and is quite comfortable, however, the seating rows are very long with no breaks, so basically if you're sitting in middle seats, you have to walk past so many people on either side of you to try to get out. This would be a nightmare if there was an emergency or anything.

Working with Billy Gallo at Manhattan Actor Studio was a game changer for my son. He came in with a…read moredream of becoming an actor, and within 10 months, with Billy's guidance, that dream became a reality and he is an actor! The VIP Experience Package set us up for success. Billy provided weekly thoughtful, quality material that expanded my son's range and growth. Billy also helped us think through social media content , guided us on the right at-home self-tape equipment, and even took the time to help me understand the audition process. We now have the right assets to put in front of agents and casting directors - headshots and several professional reels to choose from. What truly sets Billy apart is the relationship he builds with his students, his teaching style is both motivating and structured, helping young actors build confidence. I highly recommend Manhattan Actor Studio VIP package for anyone serious about launching or advancing an acting career.

The staff is amazing, the choreography is always fantastic, and the overall quality of the shows is superb. The kids are always nice and welcoming and POPs strives to be free of any cliques or friend groups. I was always in the Mainstage group (the 12+ age group), but becoming friends and mentors to the rising stars group (next younger group) was not unheard of. The older kids would help do the backstage work for the younger kids shows which was nice. Not to mention, POPs students are always very supportive of their friends, seeing them in shows with other youth theater companies (something students from other companies sadly don't often do in return). All in all, POPs was a truly great opportunity and fun group to perform with. --Brian Liebson, POPs alumni

The performances were spectacular - ranging from absolutely adorable to beautiful, uplifting and inspirational. It was truly a joy to watch and to cheer for all the dancers, each with their own special spark, lighting up the stage. It was equally touching to witness, throughout year and at the show, the beauty of the friendships that have developed and the sense of community that is palpable among the dancers and teachers at Fifth Row. As a parent, when I sign my children up for activities, I look for organizations, teachers and mentors that believe in nurturing the whole child and fostering a joyful and inclusive learning environment. I look for places and people that become part of my village, welcoming my children into spaces that become their second homes. Seeing the growth in my daughters this past year, not only in their dancing ability, but also in their work ethic, creativity, self-expression and confidence, I feel so grateful to be part of the Fifth Row family.

I've been a pro guitarist and musician in general for over 10 years and I had an unusual area of…read moreprofessional music I wanted to study. Thankfully, Coast Music Conservatory had an uncommon solution in expert guitar teacher Dave Stark. There were serious gaps in my knowledge related to guitar technology: pedals, tones, amps and even instruments and pickups. This is not a normal subject for a guitar teacher. Thankfully, Coast had just the right person. I've been studying with Dave for a little over a month now and my knowledge on this topic has exploded thanks to his expert tutelage. We started from the very beginning, as I believe all lessons should: a conversation about my goals, both long- and short-term, and agreeing on a plan of action that would help me bridge this gap in my education as completely and efficiently as possible. Dave is caring, patient, passionate and really knows his stuff. He's always punctual and consummately professional. And he's extremely generous with his time, knowledge and attention to detail. I can see that Dave not only cares about me as his student but even devotes thought and energy outside the "classroom" to helping accelerate my progress with new insights and suggestions. It's like I showed up looking for a teacher but got a mentor instead. Thanks to my lessons with Dave I've already completely pared down my gear and I'm 90% finished upgrading my pedal board; next I'll be finalizing my rig with an easier-on-the-spine amplifier and then we'll be working on delays and other effect-specific topics together. I'm psyched for what the future holds. Dave's a great teacher.
