Mmmmm. Came here…read morewith a party of 25 people. I let Gustav, the owner, know the situation, and he graciously accepted our reservation, warning us that the place is small. The space was perfect. We took the downstairs area and the al fresco outside tables and put in our drink orders. Cesar (sp?) quickly and effectively made us all sorts of drinks. I recommend the Tuxedo No. 2 and the Negrini. Both were excellent. And then the food? Amazing. The veal was cooked with truffles, peas and capers and came out very juicy and savory. The shrimp on the shrimp sandwich was very fresh and the bread was delicious. Many of the people in our party said that the smoked sausage was the best they ever had. The mustard was also a standout. On top of all of these praises, you should go to Erlands for the waitstaff. I couldn't believe that 2 people could host a 25 person party and have time to joke around with us and wait on walk-in customers. Gustav and Cesar are the homies. +1 star for the decor, the coziness of the place, and the playlist! These guys like jazz music, so the night's tunes included hip hardbop tunes and hot swing. Thanks for everything, Gustav!

It almost feels like someone's home with age-old photos of the owners grandpa, authentic furniture from the fifties and soothing tunes from past decades. I was here in the afternoon and since I was hungry I ordered the 'räksallad', which was good. It had tons of shrimps, avocado, lettuce, tomato etc. and a really nice lemony garlic sauce. The only minuses come from the somewhat soggy iceberg salad leaves and over boiled egg. I had a nice glass of Riesling with it. I've heard that they serve also nice coffee and good cocktails so this place seems to be perfect for any time of the day except for the morning. Can't wait to be back! Edit: This place also has WiFi and I must say that my heart skipped a beat when I heard the password. P e r f e c t o !

Walking to dinner on Friday evening one could not help but notice the scene at Wienercaféet, a…read morevisit for Breakfast five days later finding things far more sedate at a space opened in 1904 that continues to serve as an all-day rendezvous seven days a week. Operated as a Champagne Bar and Café at Biblioteksgatan 6, nearby shopping and local businesses supplying an endless supply of foot traffic that has made the Restaurant as successful with tourists as it is with locals, guests arriving at one of the Restaurant's two entrances during morning hours will find themselves free to waltz right in and explore, table service eschewed in favor of a Bakery where items are laid out with prices a bit higher than other places less well appointed in terms of décor. Maintaining much of its old wood and granite, the kitchen clearly upgraded at some point since Wienercafeet was taken over by a local group managing at least a half-dozen additional Bars and Eateries, it was with several guests already enjoying Fika and Coffee that six items were selected from a line-up for approximately 240 SEK, first bites of the Cardamom Bun seeing caramelized outsides give way to a dense interior rich in Butter but low in Spices. Improving henceforth in terms of Food, the lone waiter in charge of Water refills spending most of time kibitzing with two middle-aged women seated outside, it was setting aside more than half of Roll one that attention turned instead to another topped in Nuts, the base similar but deeply penetrated by Sugar though in terms of taste the more traditional Tosca Tart proved better thanks to less Bread and more notable flavor from an array of Seeds and Nuts. Next investing in previously unheard of "Wienerbrod," a laminated ring of Pastry surrounding Vanilla Custard and lightly drizzled with Icing, it was here that Wienercaféet again showed well, the Budapest at first appearing dry but in reality delicate and light with smooth Cream supporting Orange segments while the Chokladbol was dark and rich but spared from being one dimensional by an equal ratio of Cocoa to Oats and Coconut.

First and foremost, I'm here to dispel rumors of grabbing a burger is going to be less expensive than other meals... Here that's not the case. I did order a cheeseburger and a Coke because why not?! The cheeseburger was embarrassingly expensive, but I will say it was also damn delicious! We are so used to our burgers coming with different sides when we order them, I'm mostly it's fries. Here, there are no sides, and in fact because it was so late, I wasn't able to order any additional food, including the french fries. When I come back here again? Probably not. Yes, this is despite the fact that it was a tasty burger. I think with better planning I would've found something a little bit more to my liking.

Lots of locals starting their morning here, some working remotely, some just reading, and others catching up with friends. The people who work here are the absolute nicest people. Coffee is delicious. They have fresh squeezed orange juice in the mornings, as well as some green juice and ginger shots which will get you going. There's nothing more satisfying than starting your morning sipping on a latte while nibbling on a cardamom or cinnamon bun. Swedish coffee culture is absolutely elite, and is what I'll miss most now that I'm back in the states. Can't wait to go back to Stockholm and drop by Lilla Caféet på Söder again!

The cocktails are out of this world good, boasting unique flavor profiles and a lot of depth in each one. My personal favorites were the "Drink Your Greens" and "Piccadilly Circus" cocktails. The food is also great. You can't go wrong with anything, but I favor the Saganaki, Tzatziki, and Sea Bass dishes. Last but certainly not least, the staff is extremely friendly, and the environment is warm and inviting while also remaining chic and sophisticated.
