It's Christmas Eve and everything was fantastic. The food was fresh and flavorful. It was hot too. I'll always travel HERE to get my Chinese food fix. She does it right, everything is overfilled, fresh, you get your money's worth. She's always there with a smile. It's worth the drive. Thank you for cooking dinner for me!!!

Lin's house is easy, fast and decent Chinese food. The people are very nice and always have our carry out order ready to go.

Went to Lin's House on the recommendation of a neighbor. It's a little tricky to find this, as it's not seen from the Publix side of the plaza on San Carlos. Once in the parking lot, it's on the left side of the grocery store (as you face the front). We had thought we were in the wrong area at first, so we drove around the store and found other businesses, including Lin's House. Rest assured, your GPS will take you to the San Carlos address, you will be in the right spot; you just need to go towards the Summerlin Bridge side of the building to find it. The front door and windows are colorful with inspirational drawings and food (such as a dragon, chop sticks on a bowl, some sort of blossom trees). As it's right next to a "tiki" Mexican restaurant, you don't want to get confused as to where you're about to go. Once in, the place is the size of a usual small eatery. It's mainly used as a to-go restaurant, but there are a handful of tables and chairs there so you can eat in. It was clean, well lit and didn't have any odd smells (dirty or gross), considering there are multiple restaurants not only immediately attached to this one, but also in the same parking lot. Weirdly enough, McDonalds is literally 100 feet away, so once we got back outside, we were hit with the smells from that specific fast food place. The owner greeted us, as it was rather slow at the time we were there (for lunch). We took a few minutes to look over the menu and decided what we want. One lunch order of General Tso's Chicken with pork fried rice and one lunch order of Sesame Chicken with pork fried rice, please. As this was a lunch order (for $9.95 each), you get a can of cola with the meal. I don't know if this is normal, but the owner asked us if we wanted an egg roll instead of the cola. She didn't explain the reasoning, but there was no upcharge for it either. It's a nice add on, the cola, but we didn't really think we wanted it. So when we were given the option to swap it out for the egg roll, we did. Again, I don't know if this is normal, and there was no added fee for it. One of the things the woman did mention, was that it would be a few extra minutes because she had to make the egg rolls. In season, they have an over abundance of the items prepared, but once summer arrives, they don't make as much because there's not as much foot traffic. Prior to Ian, the owner stated they were packed every day. They had so many regulars that came and ate with them. It was busy from open to close. But once the hurricane came and destroyed a lot of the city, including this location, people left. They don't get the stream of eaters they got before. If I recall correctly, there was something like 80 per cent of the revenue has been lost because there's not that many people around. It might have been a referral to the beach location. I don't remember. She said she's been doing this for over twenty years and had a location on the beach. We talked for another minute or two and our lunch went to be made. A rough wait of 15 or so minutes, the food was packaged and handed to us in a bag. There is a small 6 drawer plastic desktop cabinet of sorts on a table next to the counter. It's one of those stationary supply boxes that holds pens and such. Except this holds forks, spoons, chopsticks, soy sauce, duck sauce and mustard. Each in their own drawer. That has to be the smartest thing I've seen - it keeps everything neat and tidy and you're not reaching into a cardboard box or cup for what you need. Once we got home, we opened our hot packages and found an immense amount of food. No wonder why we were told "enjoy your lunch and dinner" when we left. There was enough chicken and rice, that we had plenty left over. The great thing was, it wasn't full of just rice. There was more protein in the box then there was starch. I feel like there was two scoops of rice and the rest chicken, compared to what other Chinese restaurants give out (more rice than anything else). That was super nice to see because you often wonder where the other part of the meal is. Both chicken dishes were crisp and very hot (oven hot, not spicy hot). The sesames were almost evenly distributed over the chicken and the General Tso's sauce was pooling enough on the bottom of the container, that each piece of chicken was able to get coated. This was when it was spicy hot as well. The General had a good kick to it but it wasn't a "too hot. Can't eat it. Must throw it out" hot. It was subtle enough that you didn't realize you might need a tissue soon. We definitely enjoyed the lunch special (which felt like a "feed a family of 4 special") and will more than likely be back to try something else. The only downside is there was no fortune cookie in the bag. Not a deal breaker, just a surprise. They must not give them out, as you're getting so much food. That's fine; we would rather know we're full and happy than have one more thing to put in our mouth. Thanks!

It was our first time there and it gets high points on all fronts from us. Price: Awesome. The same or cheaper than the take-out places near us. None of that nonsense of charging you for crispy noodles like at the take out place. We also requested black tea and that was free with the meal, as was the extra rice that we requested. I will never get Chinese take-out again, I will just drive the extra 10 minutes and eat in at Tung Hing. Service: Great. Our server was adorable and super friendly and helpful. Knew the menu well and able to make recommendations for vegetarians. Atmosphere: Pretty nice. Cute ceiling tiles, spacious, soft lighting, nice soft Chinese music like you would expect in a Chinese restaurant. I went to the eat-in Chinese place near 41 and College one time and they were playing Reggaeton remixes... Food: Obviously, amazing. The best I've had in SW FL. Cleanliness: Yup, nice and clean. Go ahead and give it a shot!

Ordered the garlic chicken dinner combination for delivery, and the food was completely inedible…read more The chicken was so rubbery I literally couldn't chew it, and the vegetables and sauce had a bizarre, overly sweet, heavily seasoned flavor. The rice was incredibly dry and tasteless. Honestly, the sweet spice made me suspicious that they were trying to cover up old ingredients. I ended up throwing out my meal all together. The only 'positive' is that the portion sizes are generous--so they give you way more food than you will ever actually want to eat. I will not be buying from them again.
