You are not compromising in anyway with this brand. You might pay more for other brands but I don't believe you are getting a better bicycle. Across their entire riding style of bicycle models you will still see the same level of quality and performance. Besides this the local bicycle shop owner/mechanic (Rick at "Fat Rick's Bicycle Emporium") is one of the very best in the business. The gentleman texted me and said he had just finished a bike assembly and wanted to know if I still wanted him to come out for our appointment that was scheduled for 12 to 2. I disagreed with him and told him it was for 12 noon and that I had found someone else. He became obnoxious and said he was going to bill me and send me to collections for what I don't know. I'm guessing this guy has not been in business very long. And I doubt if he will be in business very long

I knew I was going to buy a bicycle when I went into this store. I knew he sold diamondbacks ,…read morecannondales and more. I also knew I was most likely going in for a cannondale hybrid type road/smooth trail/gravel bike. He showed me some different brands and styles and I was able to take them for a spin in the parking lot. Marc has been there for a long time and he knows his stuff. He knows the history of each brand and he will tell you which one is the best among them. He is a bit on the quiet side, so you have to ask your questions. I also like that he took my mongoose in and gave it a tune up. I bought that bmx Mongoose from Fb marketplace for $30. It was in rough shape and he tuned it up and got her moving nicely. I settled on the cannondale and he put together the medium frame. I'm at the tall end of the small frame and just felt more comfortable on the medium frame. It was a great experience and I will go back to the shop again when I need bicycle supplies. I'm always in favor of supporting the local guy. HIs prices are comparable to online and you get that people experience that you would miss out on by ordering online.
