Andrew was really friendly & really made me feel welcome. He exceeded my expectations & he was very helpful when I asked him for recommendations. Right away you can tell he is very passionate about his work & loves what he does. This was my first tattoo & I will definitely be coming back when I'm in LA. For sure bringing my friends next time (: read more

Lines By Andrew - (off to the races & a rose on my right thigh) - Tattoo Near Me - Los Angeles, California

S/A'd . and because yelp wants me to add more- I've had much better fine line tattoos that actually lasted and don't fade after the healing process. The 3 small tattoos I received during the whole incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable encounter have now almost completely faded. Don't waste your time or your money. Also he might ask you to have s*x instead of pay for the tattoos. read more

I asked the dude for an alien dressed as a cowboy and he fucking copy pasted RANGO. And he tattoos out of his DIRTY ASS APARTMENT. I needed to pee, and the bathroom was broken with shit in it that hadn't been flushed. I don't think he can come up with any original artwork of HIS OWN. Almost everything he tattoos is an image that he found online. No imagination. And HE was more than an hour late to MY appointment because he overslept from "tattooing til 4am"... who fucking does that when they know that have appointment the next morning? Long story short I ALLOWED him to keep the $200 deposit and I walked out. There's no shot I'd let this dirty, unprofessional, untalented man, use a needle on me. read more

Andrew has done two tattoos on me. both were simple, clean and letter tattoos. I really like working with Andrew because I can tell him exactly what I need. I will absolutely get more tattoos by Andrew read more

TW: Sexual Assault ** if you are a woman, come with a male friend or do not go at all for your safety. This is another attempt to provide my personal experiences with Lines By Andrew's tattooing service. I had gone to get a spontaneous tattoo with my sister from someone local, and this listing popped up. Had I read the other 1star reviews, I would not have gone because this pattern of behavior of sexual assault towards female clients happened to both of us. At first the tattoo session started great, we felt safe, and excited to get the tattoos. It's very unfortunate because we really enjoyed Andrew for the first couple hours, and I wish I could've had a better experience. tldr; if you are looking to get a tattoo, do not go here especially if you're a female. read the one star reviews, and all the reviews that were taken down ( listed at the bottom of the listing under 19 other reviews that are not recommended). read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS GUY. he will try and scam you the most he can cause he's just money hungry!! also if you send a deposit and don't want the service he will not give you your $ back! take the risk if you'd like but he is so unprofessional! read more

SEXUALLY ASSAULTED The first red flag was that he was adamant we don't bring company. When he found out it was just me and my sister, he agreed. We were both assaulted during our tattoos. He also took 3x longer than originally told to finish the tattoos, and the work itself was not the worst but NOT QUALITY at all. Honestly, I'm looking to get it lasered or covered up because of the triggering experience attached to the image I see every day. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO HIM. We've filed a police report, but it has been difficult to get to the bottom of it as he doesn't list his "business" address publicly, and we do not have his full name. I don't even know if he even his "home setup" (just a massage chair in his living room) is properly licensed. I really regret this entire experience, and can't believe his morals when he has a girlfriend living with him. read more

Andrew was extremely professional and personally just a cool person. He gave me and my bestie a tattoo and gave his honest opinion and feedback on placement and size, which we appreciated. His gf was there and was extremely sweet and kind. They made us feel very comfortable and got her job done perfectly. His lines are super crisp! We're super happy with our tattoos and recommend to anyone. read more

My favorite artist by far. The best fine line work I've seen in a long time. I think i've gotten 5 or 6 by him & have taken several people to him for tattoos also & everyone loves him! Looking forward to getting A TON of more ink from Andrew! read more

I met Andrew through Facebook dating Weird right? He asked about tattooing me and I told him that would be cool. I had never gotten a tattoo before. It was a couple of months until I reached out to him to get a tattoo. I was excited and nervous. However, first tattoo went great! I was so happy with it. It gave me a boost of confidence and the line work was sick. I thought he was a little weird but not in a bad way just quirky. I hadn't thought about my next tattoo and then when I was out of town he messaged me about another one. He wanted the money up front. Honestly, I was uncomfortable but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Deposits are normal. When I got my second tattoo, I didn't just get one. I got a few. He wanted to bet how quickly he could do a tattoo, and also how long he could balance a cigarette. Like I said....weird, but that's cool. Eccentric. Then we started talking about money and it was honestly a lot. We went back and forth and we settled on a price. I was like great I love my tattoos and spending a lot of money but I'm happy! I had such a great feeling. Sadly, that did not last long. Andrew sent me a request for more money. Apparently a tip, which might sound reasonable except he runs his own business and we had shook on a final value. I called him to get a better perspective, and he hung up on me. I called him again and he screamed at me and made me cry. Apparently his life was really difficult for "him and his girlfriend," and it was my fault. After he hung up on me again, I was devastated. It hurts to have another human being treat you so terribly for seemingly so little. I didn't even know this guy, I thought I did the right thing, and I was happy with the results. I guess that wasn't enough? To be completely transparent, I went back for more tattoos despite that incident. I wanted redemption, justice, and honestly more tattoos. I realize how stupid it sounds. It's embarrassing, but I have compassion for myself. In the end, I got several tattoos from him. Last I heard from him, he said he was getting evicted and asked for more money (about $2,500). Ironically the same amount I spent the second time. I told him to ask his girlfriend for the money, and he called me a c*nt and blocked me. Pretty funny, which is why I'm giving him 1 star. He always wanted a review, and now I'm happy to give it to him. Please be safe (especially to all the women out there)! read more

Lines By Andrew - My favorite tattoo ever!! - Tattoo Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I would not recommend Andrew to anyone trying to get an extensive piece done. I was there for over 8 hours for a piece that was estimated to take 4 hours. Lines are not clean, he kept getting distracted, loss track of his tools, kept needing to reposition and take breaks, and picking up the phone while doing my tattoo. On top of that, his place was extremely messy. Last but not least, he behaved very inappropriately throughout, continuously asking me to position my body in weird ways and pressing his lower body parts against mine, which is sexual harassment. Please go to a legitimate tattoo parlor and save yourself the time, money, and stress. I now have a huge tattoo on my upper thigh that needs to be redone by another tattoo artist. read more

Andrews work is exceptional. He is quick to respond and even took me same day! He brought my tattoo idea to life and even helped me select the font I like best. He made it easy and made me feel comfortable with my choice to get this tattoo and no longer wear my med tag. I will definitely be coming to him for my next tattoos and recommending all my friends!!! Everyone should check him out. He clearly loves what he does and it shows in his work!! 100% recommend. read more

Lines By Andrew - Type 1 Diabetes tattoo - Tattoo Near Me - Los Angeles, California

My favorite person to get tattoos from. The best line work you'll find and a fabulous human overall.

I went in for my first tattoo with my girlfriend and cannot express how happy I was with the entire experience. My girlfriend has had multiple tattoo's with him and her experience has always been excellent. I can say, wholeheartedly, he did not disappoint. From helping me finalize the design to completing the tattoo and providing tips for making sure it heals correctly and in full, Andrew was helpful, professional, and an amazing artist. If anyone is looking for linework done in an environment where you feel comfortable, constantly engaged with the conversation, and open to discussing other ideas that can elevate your tattoos, this is the guy to do it with! read more

Really, really sketchy dude. DM'd me on Instagram at 1am asking if I wanted a tattoo, which is already super weird. Reading all these other reviews makes me realize I was super right to be sketched out. Vibes are really off. read more

Great experience with Andrew. I got the tattoo I wanted which both him and I collaborated. line work was great! can't wait to get another piece. Thanks Andrew. read more

this as actually a terrible experience and he made me and my friend (her first tattoo experience ever) hold his dick while we got tattoos, and got into screaming matches with his then girlfriend (not sure if they are still together!). we had been talking about this for weeks before i came by and be told me it would be $200. then he had us stuck there for 10 hours and got so distracted with fighting with his girlfriend in between, he marked me with ink off on another part of my arm too. i also asked for lines only and he insisted on shading and i was so scared bc he kept putting his pen*s in my hand that i just let whatever happen. he also started both of our tattoos in the beginning of the session when things were good and they were making us cookies so we were both stuck there the entire time waiting for them to finish. then he tried to charge me $600 because we were there for so long and he added shading (which was his choice not mine!). i fully broke down bc it had been such a traumatic experience and he told us the only way we could leave was if we paid him or posted this review and then we could leave for free and never tell anyone about it. he also sent me a nude of him in the bathtub after i got home. i just got notified from yelp that people are viewing this post and i don't want anyone else to be in this situation. stay safe out there ladies. hope you've changed andrew. read more

This was my first tatoo ever! I was always on the fence. But I finally took the plunge after seeing a tatoo that Lines by Andrew did for a friend. I'm SOOO happy with the work. It's so perfect and original and the detail is amazing. Great convo too! read more

Super strange environment. Works from a one bedroom apartment and has a bogus energy. Heard him and his girlfriend criticizing my tat design from the other room. Very unprofessional. His instagram also shows him using the same design on like 20 people. you'll get a super generic tat here that will look bad after healing, guaranteed. Going here one time was too many. read more

Unfortunately I have to update this review. I can see other negative reviews here so I'll keep it short: he majorly messed up my partners skin, he put a lot of tattoo numbing cream on which may have been why the ink rejected from her skin and nearly left a permanent scar--thankfully I have a more reliable artist (Sophie at Hermosa Ink--fantastic) who was able to cover the nearly unrecognizable result. Although he was fun to talk to and seemed like a cool person as a friend (but NOT someone doing permanent work on you), it didn't make up for this experience. To top it off I left a pair of jeans at his place and he lost them, claiming his girlfriend broke up with him and threw all his stuff on the street including my pants. He "made it right" by mailing me a ridiculous large sweatshirt that is meant to sleep in....bizarre lol. I hope with some more practice he will be able to improve read more

Ive gotten several tattoos by Andrew and they're all amazing and healed perfectly. He's very professional, clean, and punctual. He's also super sweet and easy to talk to. Andrew was awesome. Me and my wife hit him up spur of the moment on a Friday afternoon and he was able to book us just a few hours later. Super easy to work with. Great communication. Tattoos came out better than we had even imagined. You can tell he has a huge passion for his work. He really took the time to make sure our pieces came out exactly how we wanted, and even made great suggestions to make them better. Super chill guy and his assistant Heather was awesome. Really glad we went to him and looking forward to getting some more work done next time we're in LA! read more

This was by far one of my worst experiences with a business. If I could give this less than one star I would. I had an appointment at 6 and while I'm pulling up to the address listed on Yelp I got a call saying they were pushing my appointment back to 8:30. Frustrated I turn around and go home. At 8:20 I get in my car and get another call pushing back to 9:30 and got sent an address to some random "temporary" place since they moved out of their old office. They texted me that they'd send someone out to come find me and then I got a call that they were no longer there getting food. Absolutely outraged that I wasted so much time waiting for this stupid appointment I just left. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! the people that answer the phone are unprofessional and just overall feels sketch. read more

Andrew is awesome! Me and my boyfriend are from Vegas and we were looking to get last minute tattoos. We were able to book with him within the same day we called. He made sure he paid attention to every detail to make it perfect! I couldn't be more pleased with the environment and the positive energy he had. This was a very good experience and he really does live up to his name, his line work is amazing. If we're ever in town again we will definitely be giving him a call! read more

Andrew is actually phenomenal and such a great time. Going to him was probably the best decision I could've made with line work. It was not only fun, but he really took my feedback well and made the entire experience so easy and quick. I got a few fine line-ish tattoos with him and when I see he strived for perfect, I mean he really strived for perfection. Everything was so well-done and he kept reviewing every small detail to make sure that was true. Thank you so much Andrew - I'm so happy with your work! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Extremely unsanitary and unprofessional when I received a tattoo from Andrew. The first time I went, his girlfriend and another girl were there throughout the entire time, and even though I felt a little uncomfortable- I didn't feel unsafe and thought it might be in my head. After he hit me up repeatedly and I said I could not afford another tattoo, he offered me a free tattoo and I decided to take the offer. This second time, no one else was in the space, again he was extremely unsanitary and then on top of that was extremely aggressive towards getting sexual with me. He insisted on giving me a pre-tattoo massage which I have absolutely never heard of. Then before giving me a tattoo, he insisted we hang out in the bedroom. There is so much I could go on about complaining about, but honestly- what I want to get across is females should proceed with caution when associating themselves around him. He also gave me an extremely shit quality piece on my arm and a chemical burn from numbing cream I did not want to use. Then asked me to give him a good review because he was receiving poor ones. Ha. read more
