I would like to start by saying, I do not know this company or any of their associates outside of…read morethe business. I have had a great customer experience each and every time I needed something done. I have purchased a couple of trucks and they put remote starters in each of them along with toppers and liners. I started my truck from Washington D.C on one occasion because we bought the Drone Mobile, which is amazing. All have been done with no issues and no gouging. I realize they work for a living, not for free. Recently, i purchased another vehicle and he has no issue getting me in and getting my work done. I think this is a good company with competitive pricing and great customer service. I do recommend this business for your vehicle needs.

I worked with Chris Hayes this past year in ordering and installing my custom Leer canopy on my…read more2017 truck. I was out of the country when I first made contact and Chris was very helpful and responded to emails every day. When the virus hit and I was unable to make it back to get it installed, he was flexible in getting me in the moment I landed. As mentioned in our communication prior to ordering, I told him that I was moving to Washington State as soon as I got the canopy installed, so warranty concerned me. Chris assured me that I could get taken care of anywhere that Leer canopies were sold. With this assurance, I went ahead with the order. All was fine for the first week with the canopy as it had not rained, yet. However, as soon as the first rain came in, I experienced an unexpected amount of water leakage inside of my truck bed. Mind you, all my belongs were and still are being kept in here, so a lot got wet. I contacted Chris immediately and when he asked for pictures, I sent them to him immediately and he disappeared. After a day of no response, I decided to take matters into my own hands and contact the nearest dealership. They took me in right away and immediately saw adjustments that needed to be made that Chris failed to do during installation. These included: - Cutting back carpet where ledge meets tailgate (1st reason for water getting in) - Cutting back rubber seal around window (it was too long so every time I shut my tailgate it would pull on it and disrupt the seal around the window; 2nd reason for water getting in) - Lack of waterproofing seal all around where canopy meets the bed (3rd reason why water was getting in) Aside from the water issue, he installed the canopy too tight so when that was adjusted, paint was already rubbing off the truck. When I communicated this information to Chris (he finally decided to contact me when I made mention of potentially needing to back charge him if I were to be charged) he failed to take responsibility for any of it. I told him that if this continued to be a problem, I would keep him in the loop, and he could contact the dealer I was working with and they could work something out. I was still getting leaks so I went to another dealer that was closer to home (the other was an hour away - only place that would take me in ASAP) and they added more sealant at the front of the bed. This did prove to help but I was still getting leaks from the back! This time was even worse (as I was getting proper Washington downpours now) so I had to miss work and drive another hour away for the only place that could see me right away (this became very urgent now as my things were getting damaged and rain was expected for the next 10 days). When I got to the next shop, they saw more problems; Chris did not wire the canopy into my bed correctly (aka the electrical box in my canopy isn't even being used/not connected currently), so they were not able to pull the canopy off to look at the seals and redo them. I ended up having to pay them for their time to rewire the canopy and redo my seals. I contacted Chris as soon as we found out about the electrical box and he didn't seem surprised, just asked that the dealer call and tell him the price to fix it. After I got the price (2 minutes later), he didn't answer. So, I texted him and he said that it was ridiculous, and he was not authorizing that amount and that I could come back to Iowa to get it fixed for free (not even a realistic option). I was charged $237 and only asked Chris to reimburse me for $145 (the additional $90 was for having to reseal around the canopy - something I was trying to meet him in the middle for as it does not rain in Iowa as much as it does in Washington; this was a mistake). Even after I informed Chris of the full amount I was charged (and sent him a picture of the invoice as proof) he was hesitant to even reimburse me for the $145; I had to threaten to file a claim and poor review if he did not. I still have not received the partial reimbursement from him. I spent $3400 on my canopy and installation with this company and have had nothing but troubles since I got it. On my initial water leak all Chris said was it was not his fault I moved out of state and if I were still in Iowa, he could help me at no cost. If I knew this was going to be the case, I would not have even ordered from him, but that is also why I asked about warranty and told him that I was moving prior to purchasing. I would not recommend this company to anyone. You would think that working directly with the owner I would get better service and having no one else to go to for help really sucks and I will have to eat the extra cost on top of this already expensive purchase. I will also be contacting Leer directly and tell them about my experience so that they stop dealing with this company. Leer is a great brand and they are not making them look good by installing their product poorly.
