She even offered her phone number and gave me her input on outfit selections! Due to weather and a family emergency, we ended up rescheduling our photo session 2 hours after we arrived to Florida from Virginia (a 16 hour drive!!) I was skeptical about how our photos would look after being in the car for that long, and because the weather ended up being windy and cold! Turns out I had nothing to fear because I absolutely LOVE how our photos came out. I don't know how Catherine did it, but somehow all 5 of us look happy, rested, and not a bit wind swept. Another thing that meant a lot to me was that Catherine was able to make the experience FUN for my 4, 2, and 10 month old children. In doing so, she was able to capture their natural happy smiles. After the session, Catherine delivered the photos within a matter of days (right before the holidays too!). I'm telling you, she is amazing. I'm so happy that Catherine was able to document this special moment for us, and I would 100% choose her again!

We absolutely adored working with Joe and Kathleen for our engagement photos and wedding in March…read moreof this year! They are such a great team and clearly love what they do, putting everyone at ease and capturing absolutely amazing shots. They are so personable and truly care about the people they work with. Even on our cold, cloudy wedding day, they somehow managed to make the photos turn out so beautifully and had them back to us in just a couple of weeks. They were the first of all the wedding vendors/coordinators we worked with who actually broke down the day with what would be happening at each minute, which really put us at ease going into it because we knew exactly what to expect. I would recommend them to anyone who needs photography services, and will definitely work with them in the future if we need pictures taken at any point!

We have vacationed at Douglas Lake for almost 20 years, from western PA, so it was not a surprise…read morewhen my daughter informed us, she'd like her senior pictures taken there. We contacted Ben at Smokey Mountain. His demeanor won us over and we took a chance and booked a session. The chance paid off! We explained our tight schedule and desires to Ben and our location on the lake. Ben visited the marina our boat would be docked at different times of the day to scout the conditions and got back to us with the best time to meet for pics. We met at 7:30 am and it was obvious the advance work Ben had put in and it helped with the setup. He also listened to what my daughter wanted and incorporated those wishes into the session. They took pics on our boat, the dock, the marina and other spots. Through multiple locations, outfit changes and poses, Ben was a dream to work with for my daughter and us. His commitment to my daughter's pics was appreciated. We received the pictures within the timeframe Ben told us and the results were better than the session! There are so many "keepers", the pics exceeded all expectations! We'd recommend Smokey Mountain Portraits to anyone for any occasion. Thanks Ben and keep up the great work! The Newells

I was trying to find more information for a friend of mine who was going to be in the area and hasn't had family photos in a long time. I wasn't asking for anything out of the norm -- my friend and her family were visiting TN last week and I reached out a few days before they were leaving to inquire about availability, location option, and pricing. This would have been such a special moment for her and her family, but we weren't able to make it work due to the lack of response. I would have understood if it couldn't work due to timing, but we didn't have the opportunity to figure that out...
