My cleaning was performed by Casey. She is the best! Very pleasant and kind. She did an amazing job. Also answered all my questions. I really enjoyed her positive energy kind and attentive nature. I appreciate her professionalism, have built a rapport with her and that she's not excessively chatty. She's given me tips over the years and I know I'm in good hands when I'm being attended by her. I get disappointed if she isn't available. I had X-rays today and those bite-wing things can be overwhelming in the mouth so I just focused because at one point I almost threw up for some reason when it was towards the back of my mouth but I held it together. Luckily it's only once a year. Everything was straightforward and afterwards, Dr. Ruiz examined my mouth, scraped a little and I asked her about getting a new, thinner Mouthguard that will act like a Retainer. At first she mentioned one product that was for my upper and lower teeth but I told her I didn't have braces on my lower teeth so she thought about it and decided to have me try something else. I ended up ordering an Essix Retainer that's thicker than a regular Invisalign Retainer which is more flimsy so it acts like a Night Guard. I was able to get an iTero mouth/teeth 3D scan at the beginning of my appointment so I was able to skip an appointment and just come for the fitting later this month. The 3D scan is a new and free procedure that tracks changes in your mouth/teeth for future reference. Dr. Ruiz was very nice in our brief visit. My regular dentist is currently on Maternity Leave. As always, I leave with extra sample toothpaste, toothbrush and floss. The office has a Keurig machine, chips tray and bottled water in a small fridge and an Air Purifier out in the waiting room.

I just received dental care on my insurance so I decided to have a couple teeth checked because I…read morethought the old fillings were cracked. After checking on my insurance and finding out how much I was covered for ($4000) he decided I needed a few crowns. CACHING for him! He filled one of the old fillings and then did a crown on the one behind it. When the new crown was applied, it cracked. Instead of taking it off and putting a temp back on, he glued the crack and ordered a new crown. When I went in for the new crown, the old crown was of course glued on and it took over 30 minutes of grinding, picking and scraping to get the cracked one off. IMMEDIATELY after the numbing wore off, the tooth next to the crown, that had just been filled, started to ache. I couldn't eat on that side and anything cold drove me through the roof. I went back in to see what the problem was and was told I didn't have the right kind of toothbrush and I was brushing wrong. Also, I had a nerve showing because of plaque. It's funny that I didn't have that problem before the old crown was PRIED OFF!!!! My feeling is that a nerve was exposed during the process of removing the cracked crown and he did not want to take responsibility for it! He applied desenseitizer to the tooth and said I should be fine. Then to make matters worse, at checkout I was told I owed $50.00+ because the insurance only covered part of the charge. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back and will be filing a complaint with my insurance. I now will need to find another dentist to fix this mess!

While it took a little longer than we expected, office was clean, staff appeared very professional, and made sure our needs were met in a very trauma-informed manner.
