Initially, they sent two workers at a time, which made the cleanings efficient--typically done in about 1.5 hours. However, over time, things changed. Due to being short-staffed (per the workers), they started sending only one person, which naturally doubled the cleaning time. On the last visit, they sent two people, but one was in training, so again, it took about 3 hours. The quality of the cleaning was decent--nothing I couldn't do myself, but it was a huge relief to have someone else handle it. My disappointment began when the contract ended. Despite the fact that my home size and the scope of cleaning hadn't changed, they wanted to increase the rate because the job was taking longer. It wasn't due to additional work or special requests--it was simply because of their staffing and training issues. That doesn't seem fair to me as a customer. Another frustrating experience was when I tried to schedule a carpet cleaning and never received a callback, even after leaving a voicemail. Ironically, when I first hired them, their initial deep cleaning and carpet cleaning were excellent--really above expectations. So it's disappointing to see that level of service fade over time. In short, the individual cleaners were great, but the business decisions and lack of responsiveness left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I wish things had ended on a better note.

Horrible!!! Paid for deep clean, not even close! They broke our $900 ceiling fan in living room…read more They tried to replace globe they broke but couldn't find. Now I'm out $500 for new fan and $150 for electrician to install. They also damaged my coffee table when they dropped globe. Did nothing about this either. Their cleaning was not professional at all. I clean my house better than they did. Hired them cause they were supposed to be pros. They had to come back next day cause the cleaning was so bad. Didn't even clean a floor, probably cause they were cleaning up glass from globe they broke. They did refund my cleaning money, which came no where close to the damage they did. I asked them to go through their insurance to resolve problem. Their fix is not to return phone calls or text messages. Stay clear of this company if you want a professional job.

Because we had a very busy month we scheduled a deep cleaning on our bathrooms and kitchen. The cleaning was neither deep nor clean. On inspection, I found the kitchen cabinets had barely been touched. The primary maid indicated she would clean them again. I went upstarts to look at the bathrooms while she did that and was able to use my fingernails to remove some grime and soap scum from the showers. I notified the primary and she went upstairs to supervise the recleaning. I went downstairs to the kitchen and checked the cabinets. Ended up pulling out my own cleaner and a cloth and cleaned them myself. I went back up to the bathrooms and there was marginal improvement in the one bathroom. It was obvious a chemical was used in the master shower as I could see where it was sprayed... Nice clean white lines across the base where the chemical was placed, but no scrubbing was done at all. The walls still had build up. In frustration, I had them leave and ended up doing another cleaning by myself instead of focusing on other things that needed to be completed. I waited to review because I didn't want to send the wrong message. I needn't have bothered waiting because the situation only deteriorated over the next week. In the estimate we'd requested windows and the track on our sliding glass doors be deep cleaned. Not done. We'd asked for a thorough cleaning on the oven and stove top. On request, I even ran a self cleaning cycle on the oven. Wiped out, but still with matter remaining on the bottom and door. Wanted toilets cleaned and scrubbed to remove as much hard water stains as possible. Stains less evident, but still there. I probably should have specifically asked not to make me have to buy two new toilet seats, but the discoloration and pitting make them visually unappealing. I paid for this service and look on it as a learning experience...I should have complained immediately (to comply with their 24-hour satisfaction guarantee) instead of waiting to cool down first. Merry Maids in O'Fallon Illinois is unreliable and not worth the expense. I learned my lesson and will never use them again for any reason and will not recommend them to anyone I know.

My parents proudly lived in this home for 54 years. My dad passed away 2 years ago and at 90 years of age, it is just more than my mom can handle at this stage in her life. The home needs a lot of love and that is exactly what the Silver Team ladies brought with them. I consider myself a very good housekeeper but these lovely ladies just worked circles around anything I would have done had I cleaned the home myself. They cleaned areas I wouldn't have even thought of. I just kept walking room to room shaking my head at how they revived the home back to the showplace it is and made it sparkle on all surfaces in every room. It just looks and smells amazing. My nephew and his family helped me move things out the week before the cleaning and they couldn't believe the difference when they moved in the day after the ladies showed up to do their magic. The most important thing though is how amazing the ladies were to work with. They were very professional at all times yet were so pleasant and personable to work with. Such a joy to meet. Thank you ladies. You are such a class act.

I felt gypped because I paid for three workers for 2 hours in the bid I was given and they sent…read moreonly 2 workers but still charged the same amount. One of the things they were to clean was the inside and outside of the exterior doors. The back door looked fine and the front door was cleaned, but the front doorjamb was left with cobwebs and dead bugs. Also they were supposed to clean the outside of the appliances. Before they cleaned there were 2 marks on the microwave door left from suction cups. It wasn't obvious, but it was still there after they had supposedly cleaned, so they must have skipped it. There was a rust stain in the basement around the drain that I pointed out. I asked if they thought they could get it out and the supervisor said she had had trouble with getting rust stains out before. I asked them if they use CLR and they said no. I gave them some and they were able to get the rust stain out with that. This review posted saying I was in San Francisco, but the branch that I used was in Collinsville, Illinois. I don't know how to alter that.
