Lincoln Lending. Think twice before going with this broker. They will string you down a path that could cost you the home you are trying to get. They will tell you things like "you SHOULD be fine" I THINK we are good" and the best one, "TOMORROW we will know". We have dinner money if we put a quarter in a jar for all the times we heard that. They don't talk to you over the phone, just text 95% of the time. And you have to email the whole office to make sure your docs get to right person. There is an extreme lack of good communication. We do not want to hear what sounds good, we wanted the truth. And our issue was he did not know my boyfriend was self employed, missed that on the mess of applications that were emailed to us and had to be scanned back. Which his 2014 taxes were not on the IRS site yet, so his angle was to use 2012 which would have never flown. Bottom line the day before we closed, after two and half agonizing weeks, we spent 3 hours on the phone with the IRS and got a transcript the underwriter would accept and we were able to close. Had we known that was all it would have taken, we would have done sooner. He said they would not accept what we could provide. They did. Then on top of it all the good faith estimate was $1700 short, that we were not accounting for. Oh and I forgot the reserve we needed to have in the bank that they never told us about.
I cannot even begin to express the over loaded stress this group put on us. We closed May 1 and I am just now at a point to write a review. read more
