Theresa at Rotech in Silver City, NM told me to take the oxygen concentrator with me when we moved to Nevada at the end of June. She said she set me up with Vital Care. Called Vital Care they said the concentrator from Rotech is theirs but they don't serve Elko and they would have to come and get the equipment when I get set up with another company. They said to call Lincare in Sparks, called and when they finally answered the phone it was someone that didn't speak or understand english so got online and found Lincare in Winnemucca NV, which is closer than Sparks and talked to Heather who was very professional, polite, and helpful.
Heather had a lady named Kerri call me and talked to me. Kerri said they couldn't accept me as a patient unless I go do another 6 minute walk test because I've never been a LinCare patient. She asked me how long I had been on oxygen, told her 24/7 since 2021. I am a 76 year old confirmed COPD patient. Kerri was very aggressively authoritative, pushy and a control freak. She told me if I didn't do what she ordered me to do I could find another supplier. That is really hard for people living in Elko, NV as we don't have an oxygen supplier here for regular patients or VA patients.
My medicare and insurance only covers the 6 minute walk cost once a year and I did the walk test May 6, 2026 in Las Cruces, NM which is where my doctor was because doctors have left Silver City in the last few years. 2:32pm finally called Silver and talked to Rachel and she is going to email me the order for oxygen. Praise God!
