So I called and instantly was connected with Janina. Janina not only was incredibly welcoming over the phone but she was able to squeeze me in with little to no notice really! And, I was so pleased by her accommodating me on such notice. When I arrived Janina saw me right away and seamlessly processed my intake forms. Janina then graciously introduced me to Peggy! Peggy and Janina's aptitude, approach and overall care and empathy is something that is truly rare in 2021. I was absolutely floored by their stellar service. I was checked on consistently throughout my duration of time there. And, Peggy was so incredibly gently that I didn't even realize I was getting my teeth cleaned. She was able remove the fear that is normally associated with dentistry and so instinctually. Peggy is just amazing! She and Janina. I had such an amazing time at this aesthetically pleasing office that I can't wait to return! My lifelong fear of scheduling an appt to visit the dentist is no longer in existence thanks to Peggy! All my life I have always had problems with my teeth , until I met Dr Minichetti who's caring and compassionate nature along with his expertise in dealing with every circumstance imaginable, never too big or too much to be dealt with, as he finds answers and solutions to every problem. His staff, who are highly competent and personable, all adds to the pleasant atmosphere of this beautiful office with cutting edge technology. Yes, I'm a mother. So, yes I've given birth. And yes that was hella painful. But dentist pain is sooo different, therefore, I was scared to death. However, he made me feel so much better about the whole visit. I don't kniw anything about other dentists liking him or how amazing he is with his dentistry skills. All I know is that my routine check up that I've always dreaded was very pleasant with him. My last dentist told me that cleaning is supposed to hurt and that I needed to suck it up. Yeap. That was my last visit to that guy. Dr. Choi made my mind and soul ease up and made it truly and utterly painless. Of course there were uncomfortable moments-it is the dentist afterall-but when he said we were done, I said really? That's it? I moved to va since my last check up. But since I'm back for the holidays, I'm getting my wisdoms pulled. Yeap, using my holiday time to go do that. Risking looking like a chipmunk bc it's worth it. I think I would drive 4 hrs if I had major problems in the future. He's that good in my books. It's hard to find a good dentist. It's so hard to find a caring one at that. His works on my teeth have never failed. There were times that I had serious works to be done on my teeth and all done painless plus no re-work to be done. Sylvan dental is the ONLY dentist I trust. It's nice that they don't overwork themselves and it gives the dentists enough time to actually see their patients. I love that the dentists tell you what they're doing right before they do it such as spraying water on your teeth so that you're not stunned or when they start the polish. They take their time to review x-rays and any issues that you may bring up and do not push procedures that are not necessary. Highly recommend J Park Dental!

He came from the top medical school in South Korea. He's extremely patient and explains everything to you. And, he does solid work. Let me tell you 2 personal stories about Dr. Hong and you'll get a better idea of who he is. 1. A lot of dentists (especially the younger ones but I find almost all do this) push for unnecessary treatment. It's so obnoxiously obvious how mercenary the industry has become. For example, I had used a Groupon once to get a cleaning and the dentist had said my teeth and gums were horrible. He wanted to do laser cleaning, a root canal, and 2 crowns on 2 molars that "could split any day now". They really try to scare the bejeezus out of you. The bill was going to be thousands of dollars. Dr. Hong took a look. I thought what he said was funny. He said that in a court of law, the other dentist wouldn't be wrong but in reality, the stuff was clearly unnecessary. I guess that's the purpose of a $20 Groupon? 2. Another incident. Dr. Hong is far from where I live. So, a few times, I had gone somewhere local for the sake of convenience. (Sorry, Dr. Hong.) 2 different dentists actually remarked that the work that Dr. Hong did was solid work. One actually criticized work done by different dentist done a long time ago but he complimented Dr. Hong's - said it was impressive because given the position of the teeth, it was really difficult and he would have just taken it out. For other dentists to endorse your work, that really means something in my book. Just to warn you, he's a little old school so, don't expect any fancy procedures. And his assistant who handles his calls speaks broken English but don't worry - Dr. Hong is perfectly fluent in English. You can also ask him about anything and he's totally fine with it. Most importantly, you don't have to worry that Dr. Hong will try to do unnecessary work. I literally trust him 100% that he'll do what's right. He's truly a good person.

After doing copious research, I decided to give Dr. Rosario a chance. I'm so glad because she has been a damn good choice. Her office is ran efficiently and organized. There is no wait time. The front desk staff member is the sweetest and so helpful. Dr. Rosario is incredibly personable and takes her time. She enjoys sharing stories while she cleans your teeth (the only procedure I've seen her for to date -3x). I love this about her as it feels like I am hanging out with a friend and not at a dreadful medical appointment. The cleanings have felt very thorough. While it seems she has "modern" instruments, she doesn't rely on them. Over 90% of the cleaning is done manually with traditional tools. This is also new for me, but I don't mind it. Definitely recommend Dr. Rosario if you are looking for a caring professional in the Northern Manhattan area.
