This was the worst massage experience I've ever had. My husband and I wanted a last minute couples massage & ended up here because they were the only place with an opening. We got there and there was no top sheet to cover yourself with. I tried to ask about it while changing and they came in before I was ready and said they'd just do it for me. It was a tiny little cloth they laid over my back (and then barely covered me when I eventually flipped over) and that's how the massage started. Just on the towel, with no oil. It started to hurt once she was digging her knuckles into my bones in my lower back and I politely asked if we could skip that area. She didn't understand me, so the therapists just switched and the next lady thought I was saying I wanted there more. I let her do it for a few minutes in extreme pain and then asked again to please not do that area. She told me she was going to keep doing it so I wouldn't have more pain there (I didn't come in with pain there...) and so I was extremely tense and uncomfortable until she moved on, which was too long after I asked her to stop. My husband had already flipped over and I'm still getting my back beat up. They have no receptionist, so when someone came in- my therapist left me for 5 minutes to tend to them. I eventually asked if I could flip over because I couldn't take it on my back anymore, and I felt like the massage was nearing the end. She says yes, then immediately says something to the other lady that I can't understand. She flips me over and starts stretching me and the cloth starts to slip off my chest and I'm trying to hold it to cover myself, and it doesn't, so now I'm exposed. And I see the other lady do that to my husband and moves it off of him- where if he was naked he would be completely exposed (which I have heard (allegedly) from others that that HAS happened). My legs and arms haven't been touched and it feels like a century since the massage began, and I ask if I'd get my feet massaged as well please. She said yes and again says something to the other lady that I can't understand. It's finally over and I'm in pain. We go to pay and she repeatedly says "20% 20%" trying to get us to tip well. I ask my husband what that would be and he says around $30. I am NOT tipping that much for a service I absolutely hated. She made us feel like it was mandatory so I said I would be tipping what I want to, and she scoffed at me and looked pissed. I still gave her $20, when I wanted to give zero. I cried the whole way home & for the next 2 days I was in bed in pain. I couldn't even move around in the bed without being in severe pain. My husband and I had bruises down our spine, and I had a big area bruise where she would not stop working on my lower back. I will never, ever, ever be coming here again. I had to get out old pain pills and go buy a heating pad for my back after. read more
