This place rents and refills BBQ gas grills in various sizes. You have to pay a deposit of CHF 50 at a minimum. I have the smallest size they have available, though when it is full it is so heavy I cannot carry it. I have to transport it there with my card case luggage and get the guy to put it in my luggage.
The downside of this place is from the Romerhof tram stop is it's a good several to 10 minute uphill walk to the gas station, so that could be tiring when carrying a tank. If you have a car, it shouldn't even be a problem as there is sufficient parking.
