Our room was beautifully and uniquely appointed with a cast iron bed and a feature wall of colourful wallpaper. The bathroom, whilst small, was new, bright and clean with Gilchrist & Soames toiletries and the breakfast is one of the best I've had in a long time: full English or options including scrambled egg with smoked salmon, kippers with a soft poached egg and a veggie version. Our small double was supposed to be £100 but worked out around £80 a night with the '3rd night half price' offer. Grand.

Room 7 is stunning, spacious and with a 'modern' 4-poster, just lacking a bath really. Breakfast is included and consists of a great buffet of fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt etc, followed by your choice of full english cooked to order, or bagels with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The proprietor, Terry, goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and is full of helpful tips on the local area. The first thing you notice is the attention to detail in the design, very contemporary but with great touches with lighting, ornaments and foliage. Our room had a gorgeous oversized suede headboard, a (slight) sea view, 6' wide king bed walk in shower ensuite, 32" flat screen tv, dvd/cd player, ipod clock radio, gorgeous thick duvets and a hospitality area with tea/coffee/chocolates & bottled water. I think the best part though, and the real clincher, was the breakfast which is served between 9 and 10.30am at the weekends, so we could actually enjoy it! Not only that, what other B&B offers such delights as blueberry pancakes or sautéed tarragon mushrooms on toast? We'll be back.

Theres free wifi and its works really well and i loved the modern but little bathroom but it was big enough for us and we loved the shower! We was in room 102 on the first floor. The breakfast was absolutely superb which is set in a stunning dining room/lounge, theres a buffet of warm croissants,cereal,orange juice,and many other items and then you get a choice of one cooked item so one morning i had a full english which is all locally produced and tasted awesome and so tasty and the next morning i had a mouth watering eggs benedict, perhaps the best I've tasted, i also heard these breakfasts are award winning and so it should be! All the staff who worked there was really friendly and everyone who we came in contact always said hello and asked if we needed anything. We can't wait to go back to Brighton.
