I stayed here for 2 nights this weekend (last week in Feb) and we booked Boyden's as it seemed nice and close to the seafront and attractions, while still being reasonably priced. We paid around £66 a night for an en suite double room including breakfast, which is a real bargain for Brighton, which seems to be getting more and more pricey.
The guesthouse was immaculately clean and we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and we were given a map of the Brighton area which was very helpful. It's around a 20-30 min walk from Brighton station, 5 mins from the sea/pier and around 15 mins from the Lanes, which isn't too bad.
I would have given 4 stars but our room really was tiny and our bed was more like a small double - not so great when you have two tall people trying to sleep in it! There is a good choice at breakfast (I had the full English which was lovely) but we only managed to sample it once because it's only served until 9:15. Check out on Sunday is 10am, so be prepared!
Overall, it's a value for money B&B, which is very well run and friendly. I'm not sure I'd stay again just because of the early breakfast and check out time but if you are in Brighton on a budget it's worth checking out. read more
