3.5 star Great location. Very clean and the Al Fresco setup is really refreshing. Although the wind blowing outside made our Tom Yum soup cold really fast. Food is okay. Not the best Thai food I had but very good, especially the Tom Yum. They have huge servings so really not that pricey at all. We ordered Fresh spring rolls, Tom Yum Shrimp, Bagoong Rice and Crispy Pork Belly with salad. The vinegar dip for the complimentary crackers was so good. This would have been a 4.5 star if not for the terrible service from the lady wearing yellow (looks like she was the manager) who was ridiculously inattentive and was so consumed by her cellphone during the whole time. Our whole experience was kinda ruined by her service (or lack thereof). There was one instance where a customer from another table near us broke a glass due to the wind being so strong causing their paper bag to tip over and fall all over the table. Guess what, the lady didn't give a damn when the glass of water shattered and caused the whole place to look. She was still on her phone. Texting. In fact, when I took a picture of my wife, you can see her on the background, still on her phone. Then when we asked to bill out (she was nearest to us) and requested our food to be boxed, she just carelessly piled the plates on top of each other (two trips are for the weak mentality, read:lazy) and didn't care if the bottom of the top plate touches the clean food under it. And then when she came back she didn't even pick my credit card up! She just said "Thank you po" and handed me over the brown bag and went back to her phone. I was already so pissed and could have left without paying but I told her they haven't charged me yet. As soon as she came back with my card we left immediately and didn't look around the garden like we intended. I thought that was the last straw, but wait there's more - when we got home, the box for the Tom Yum soup was broken and was dripping all over the brown bag and in my car. Probably because she was too careless when putting the lid on. That was it for us. Maybe we are not coming back. I hate to rate a great restaurant based from on employee but the lady was a deal breaker especially when considering she seems to be the manager. One tip to the owner. Tell her to get off her mobile phone when working! read more

This is a gem hidden within Cavite when you're on your way to Tagaytay. Usually not packed with a lot of people, it's beautiful and almost serene - practically no walls so you can enjoy the cool breeze, a lush garden at the entrance, and comfortable seating. And the food is unmatched by any another of its cuisine. I've had my fair share of Thai over my lifetime, and none could compare to Lime and Basil's authenticity and taste. It's difficult to pinpoint which food to recommend. Try anything, and you will certainly be satisfied! Fair warning: you might linger on at this restaurant longer than you should. It's a nice break from all the hustle and bustle of the city. When booking a spontaneous trip with your family or friends to Tagaytay, head over to this place! It'll be an experience you can't ever forget, take my word for it. read more

In the Philippines now and been wanting to try this place for some time and so glad we finally did. It was a nice long 30-minute drive up the Tagaytay mountain where the air is fresh and breezy and the weather is nice and cool. I wasn't expecting it to be this nice upon arrival from rustic decor to the outdoor garden and the backyard farm. Open-air, intimate seating, cozy atmosphere and relaxing vibe. Best of all flavorful Thai dishes using organic ingredients grown in-house. Give it 5 stars because it might be the best food experience I've had here. read more

Beautiful and relaxing location! This place is a hidden gem with nice outdoor seating and even an in-house garden, growing organic ingredients used in the kitchen. As a vegan, I had plenty to eat. I ordered the fresh spring rolls (seriously, the best I've ever had!!), green curry, and another tofu dish (can't remember the name of it but it had fried basil and it was delicious). I was more than satisfied with my experience here at Lime and Basil! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and mouth watering Thai food taste. The restaurant is off the beaten path, a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from the main road. It had a rustic feel which somehow reminded me of a Michigan farm house. While waiting for our first course, we were treated with some crispy Wonton chips with some nicely flavored Thai salsa and some refreshing Thai Iced Tea. After a few minutes, the friendly waiter served some Tom Yum Goong soup with shrimp followed shortly by some herb rolled spring rolls, and some shrimp Pad Thai. The soup and Pad Thai came steaming hot and was served in gold gilded white ceramic bowls and plates. The pleasing aroma beckons one to take a taste. My taste buds were quite pleased with the outstanding balance of saltiness, sour and sweet coupled with the very pleasing aroma of fresh Thai basil, lemon grass, chilis and kefir lime leaves. Which incidentally were grown within the restaurant's own herb garden. I can't wait until my next trip to the wonderful city of Tagaytay so I can sample more of Lime & Basil's authentic Thai taste. read more
