Was looking for a last minute cake for my moms bday and we were in the Harker Heights area. This place came up as a bakery. We stopped by and thank God they still had one cake left for the day. We took it. It was a Strawberry shortcake flavored one. We also took a look at the cupcakes they had on display, we are planning on coming back to get some to try all the flavors they have (which is many). The cupcake prices are like $3.75 or $3.95 ea I don't remember exactly. And the cake we bought was $45. Fair price for a simple looking cake. The flavor though was definitely on point. Had a strawberry mousse between the 2 layers of the cake which was super delicious. The only thing I didn't like much was that the bread part of the cake itself was a tad dry. But overall it was pretty good. We walked in there was a customer in front of us being helped by the lady behind the displays. Then I believe the owner was there as well but did not acknowledge us at all and continued to fix her hair and make up, believe maybe she was about to film something not sure. Once it was our turn, the lady behind the display was super super nice and helpful. The place was quiet, no music or anything going on in the background. lily's cake in incredibly unreliable and unprofessional. i put in an order more than a week in advance, with specific instructions and inspiration for the cake i wanted. over text with these people i highly stressed for them to do exactly what i wanted because we had a terrible mishap in the past where the cake did not look anything like how i expected (instead of piping a beautiful design they printed it out on edible paper) so this time i made sure the specifics were in the open. they did not respond to these requests for 5 days then just today said they could not make the cake, which we need in 3 days. the workers are incredibly rude and dont care that i dont have anywhere to get a cake that i need very soon. they are threatening us by screenshoting our texts and posting them (which is insane and i was not rude, but thorough about what the cake was supposed to look like ) i have been a customer for 15+ years but all i can say is that the customer service has gone down segnificantly and is terrible. now i dont have a cake, which i never even got the chance to compromise about. read more

I was told anything gluten free needed to be requested a week in advance. I informed that I did not see anything on Yelp stating gluten free had to be requested in advance. My first time here and I tried the Nutella, Cookies and Cream, & Reese's Cupcakes. The presentation of the cupcakes were beautiful but the taste was not, it was very dry. The Nutella cupcake tasted nothing like Nutella and the Reese's had a weird after taste. These were not worth $3.25/cupcake. Usually any business with the words pertaining to: sweet, delicious, and fat-inducing are certain to grab my attention. In this instance, CAKES, was all I needed to know. I'm a frequent passerby on HWY-190, and couldn't stand passing by any longer. Upon entering the establishment, we were given a warm welcome by the owners. They were running a special deal on cupcakes which was great because I wanted to try a lot of them! (Buy 5, get one free. Or, buy 10, get two free). I got the buy 5 deal and the total came close to $14. Kinda pricey, but if they were awesome, I could convince myself that they were worth it. Prices for individual cupcakes are: $1.75/each for vanilla, chocolate chips, red velvet, and marbled. $2.75/each for strawberry shortcake, chocolate Reese's, Italian cream, Boston cream pie, coconut and cream, chocolate dream, and German chocolate. $3.25/each for Nutella cupcake, or chocolate and strawberries w/ a chocolate covered strawberry on top. Ok, what did I think? Well first, let me forewarn you by noting that I really can't tolerate sweet icing, and usually just scrape it off. My idea of "just right" is H-E-B's elite (whipped cream) icing so my review will be a bit biased (please take that into consideration). The cupcakes I tried were: vanilla, red velvet, strawberry shortcake, chocolate Reese's, Boston cream pie, and Nutella. Most of the cupcakes had a large mound of icing, and unfortunately... it was just a bit too sweet for my liking and had to scrape it off :( So, therefore, I was just left with the cake part of the cupcake. Well, hey.. at least that part tasted great, but it didn't justify the price I spent. Hopefully, in the future, they will make some of their icing an equivalent to H-E-B's so I can eat the whole thing ;) 4* for having a unique bakery in the area to satisfy your sweet tooth. Very nice people, little pricy.. coming from Dallas I knew it wouldn't be cheap, but wanted to order a small birthday cake, with extremely simple fondant stripes, and a dozen cupcakes. It was more than what I would have ever paid back home for something much more fancy. Almost $200. We couldn't decide what flavors, so we took 6 cupcakes home to decide. My daughter ate one, I ate a couple of bites out of one, and then a single bite out of another... we didn't like any of them. And they made us both sick. We are sweets people, not gluten free or any of that, and these were so sickeningly rich., I cant even think of anything to compare them to. They were just not good at all. The cupcakes were MOIST, but the icing on all of them except the Boston were way to sweet and rich for me and my wife. It was my only time going there and don't know if they are always like that. With that said I would give her another shot because there were other cupcakes that I wanted to try that were not available then.
