I consulted with multiple surgeons to discuss options, pricing, and expert advice. Each recommended a lift and full implant replacement and strongly discouraged me from deflating my saline implants, warning me it would be extremely painful. That guidance never felt right to me. I initially had my implants placed 12 years ago and had always wanted smaller. At 24, I didn't feel I had a voice or fully understood my options. I never felt comfortable in my own skin, and the "bigger is better" mindset wasn't aligned with what I truly wanted. Dr. Guilof was different. He gave me his time, patience, and complete honesty. He genuinely listened, never pressured me, and made sure I felt confident and comfortable with my decision. Patient safety was clearly his top priority. He fully deflated my implants, ensuring they were not left to empty inside my body, which demonstrated his integrity and care for his patients' health. Despite what others had warned, the deflation process was not painful at all. Dr. Guiloff numbed the area thoroughly and carefully drained the saline using a syringe. He then gave me the opportunity to live without implants for several weeks so I could decide whether I felt happy naturally or wanted replacement implants. That level of respect for patient autonomy is rare. In my case, the difference between saline and silicone implants was minimal due to my natural breast tissue. While other surgeons pushed expensive "gummy bear" implants, Dr. Guiloff was completely transparent and never tried to upsell me. He even corrected the pricing with his coordinator when the cost of saline implants decreased--proving how genuinely honest and ethical he is. Ultimately, I decided to remove my implants without replacement. I was nervous about not having anesthesia, and Dr. Guilof provided options to ensure I felt comfortable during the procedure. His care extended throughout the entire experience. Even the anesthesiologist, Brooke, went above and beyond--numbing my hand before placing my IV. The additional time, care, and compassion shown by Dr. Guilof and his entire team were truly exceptional. I cannot thank them enough. Dr. Guilof is not only an outstanding surgeon but also an incredible human being. I wouldn't recommend anyone go anywhere else.

I had removed the necessary clothing and the doctor entered the room, grabbed the liquid nitrogen without any comment or warning to my wife and began shooting the burning liquid onto her. As I got up to console my wife who was now very upset, the doctor moved on and sprayed the frozen liquid onto my wife's scalp, without comment again. The doctor bolted from the room and her nurse assistant explained follow up care. As the assistant was leaving the room, I asked her to relay to the doctor that I thought her interaction with my wife was very inappropriate. She said that she would do so. As I struggled to get my wife, who remained upset, dressed, the nurse returned and asked if she could help. No comment/apology from Dr. Bridgit Nolan.

Dr. Gupta stepped forward and said yes when others hesitated, and I'll always be grateful that he did. His confidence and skill made all the difference. The healing has been perfect -- no infection, just a little extra skin on one side that I'm sure we'll address once it's fully healed. He did an outstanding job. His calm confidence truly makes him one of the best surgeons in the country. I'm deeply thankful for his expertise, compassion, and courage. My outcome couldn't have been better.

1/5 -- Repeated Billing Problems…read more I was a patient of Dr. Akhil Gupta at Skin Center of Florida and stopped seeing him in October 2025, largely because of my repeated frustration with the practice's billing. My experience was that I would pay what I was asked to pay, frequently in advance, and on more than one occasion I believed my account was fully paid, only to later be told that I owed additional money. On one previous occasion, I challenged a bill and the charge was subsequently removed. The latest incident happened approximately ten months after I stopped seeing Dr. Gupta. I received a call regarding an outstanding pathology bill. When I called Dr. Gupta's office and asked which visit the charge related to, the office could not identify the specific visit and instead gave me three possible dates: June 5, 2024, September 15, 2025, and October 1, 2025. I then had to track the matter down myself. Global Pathology/Sonic Healthcare's Miami office was ultimately able to identify records associated with the two 2025 dates and directed me to CCS regarding a balance of $183.62. I negotiated a 15% reduction and paid $156.08 to resolve that account in full. To be clear, my complaint is not that this final pathology balance was necessarily improper. My complaint is the repeated billing confusion I experienced and the amount of work required to determine what I was supposedly being billed for. Patients should be able to receive a clear accounting showing the date of service, insurance adjustments, payments and credits, and the actual amount owed. In my experience, getting those answers was unnecessarily difficult. After repeated billing problems, I finally decided I had had enough and stopped using the practice. Based on my personal experience with its billing and administration, I would not return and cannot recommend this practice.
