Recently I've taken on some new responsibilities that require a lot of online work with uploads and downloads. I am a Titanium Elite member of Marriott so they provide me with the "enhanced" WiFi for free. Let me tell you that their internet service is TERRIBLE!. It's capped at about 5mbps. I had to go to McDonald's across the street so I could get some work done. If you want a decent hotel with a modern bathroom and a shower that splashes all over the floor because it's the cool new thing... then this is your place. If you actually need to get any work done and need WiFi, this place will let you down. I asked the staff and they all complained about how terrible it is too. It's so bad, I've begun looking into Hilton for some future stays and asking AI about the internet at their hotels. I may stop by and talk to them before I leave because I'm supposed to come back in two weeks for another 2 week stay. It won't be at this hotel.

There is a Dunkin' Donuts right next to the hotel, if you prefer that. Every staff member I interacted with was pleasant and polite. About a 10 minute drive into the downtown area. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The amenities here are lacking, but you get what you pay for. There is a free breakfast buffet style each morning and at 2pm each day it's free popcorn and cookies up for grabs. I prefer hotel elevators that you have to scan your hotel key in order to go to a floor and this hotel didn't have that. I believe this is a safety feature that should be implemented at every hotel. Some of the rooms have a standard tub and curtain or a stand up shower with glass doors. I prefer the later option, but stayed in a room with a standard tub and curtain. I guess now that I know this, for future reference I'd request a stand up shower with glass doors. I flew into town and either walked, catched the trolley, or did rideshare so I didn't pay the parking fee.

Employees are friendly and hard working. First night our bedroom TV wouldn't work, called front desk woman who was kind and really tried to help. She requested a service call for the morning. I figured no worry, 1st world problem lol. I mean we didn't book a beach stay for TV. I unplugged it for about 10 minutes, after unpacking etc,replugged it in and it worked. Called her and she was funny and said I'm hired and canceled service call. Each morning had YUMMY bacon for breakfast. My kid loved having a waffle every single day. The last morning there, the gal noticed we were looking for it *explained they were almost out, so didn't set it out* ... however she went and got what they had and it was enough for 1 waffle. That is excellent customer service! Room was clean and relaxing water pressure was great. Disney Jr option made my kid happy. Check-in/out was easy and friendly. Jordan got me checked in without a hitch and if they were handing out awards for customer service, she'd deserve one. Very friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming...exactly what you hope for after a long day of driving. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Only issue was poor lighting placement but after hours on the road, a hot shower was everything I needed so I wasn't tripping. I didn't hear any noise from other guests, slept well, and was even able to wake up and meditate without interruption. The surrounding area isn't the most scenic but for a road trip stop, this hotel checked all the boxes. I'd absolutely stay here again if I found myself passing through Pensacola.
