It feels like it goes back room after room. Be careful because when you turn around, you might knock something over! It appears that most of the toys are used. I think it didn't help that my friend was looking for a new toy, preferably made in Germany. The toys were from everywhere, including from the US. There are some throwback toys, that was fun to see. The nostalgia factor is definitely present and make sure you have the time to explore. It is like taking a trip through time. And make sure you have time when you come by this toy store.

We bought a stroller and after the first weekend of use the connection of both front wheels to the stroller broke (it was made of cheap plastic). We came back to return it and what followed was a prime example of rudeness and awful customer support. First, we were told that we would have to pay for the repair (!!). Then, the manager said, by just looking at it, that it was our fault that it got broken because we were forcing the wheels in. Other than the fact that she could not know that this is what happened, in fact she was wrong since it broke in a completely different circumstance. At the end, they gave us an inferior model to use while we wait for ours to get "fixed", since we can't obtain a refund but just get the broken part of the crappy stroller changed. In the 30m while we were waiting for this to take place we saw another customer with a defective product hear that it was also her fault that the quality is bad. Indeed, it was all our fault for buying at this store.

But as the other reviewers point out, it's important to buy locally, so that's exactly what I tend to do. Plus, it's nicer to walk here than to head a few kilometers to the closest McPaper (the name of which is admittedly too close to McDonald's for me). The paper supplies are varied and interesting, and there are lots of different styles of journals here, as well as pretty prints that can be hung on the wall or used for wrapping paper. The "spiele" selection is, however, much more lackluster. In looking for potential gifts for my nephews and niece, I breezed right through, as it was neither extensive nor terribly interesting. However, I can see how it might be nice for a child accompanying his or her parent to look at "boring things" like paper might enjoy finding something for him or herself in this place, so I think I get it. Customer service is polite enough, although not super friendly. I suppose that I would feel more pleased with my experience if I felt less like I was "just another customer" and more like my business is appreciated.
