From the beginning of the planning process to the final moments of the big day, they went above and beyond in every way. They provided super helpful planning folders and documents that kept everything organized and stress-free. Their system made the entire process feel seamless, and the regular meetings ensured we were always on the same page and nothing slipped through the cracks. On the wedding day itself, Jamie and Jordan handled every detail with calm professionalism and genuine care. Thanks to them, we were able to fully enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing. They were always one step ahead and made everything flow beautifully. If you're looking for coordinators who are not only incredibly organized but also kind, thoughtful, and committed to making your day everything you dreamed of -- Jamie and Jordan are the team to have by your side.

Diane insisted that we retain the "Day-Of" Coordination services of Jordan Brushia from J Marie Events. My (then) fiance and I weren't interested in using a wedding planner since event planning is my job, but a "Day-of" Coordinator sounded like a great idea. Also, Diane basically told us that we WILL get Jordan because she's the BEST, and we MUST have her, it's not an option. You don't say no to Diane Wilkinson....So that night I called J Marie Events and left a message for Jordan, (I hadn't put two and two together yet that the "J" in "J Marie" was for "Jordan") and she called me back the following day and we decided to meet at The Rind to talk about our plans. (She chose The Rind and it's one of our favorite places so we knew then that this was probably to be good...) Our meeting was sort of an "audition" for us - chemistry is really important to Jordan because she wanted to be really sure that she was going to be right for us and vice versa - So, long story short, it was a match made in Heaven. We signed the contract, paid the very modest deposit, and went on our merry way counting down the months and checking off every box we needed to check from then until our wedding. Jordan was available throughout this time to help us as things came up. Our event did require some coordination between the caterer, rentals, the band, the venue etc so she did that, and we had questions here and there about things like etiquette, seating, reception scheduling, scripting for the band/emcee etc. We emailed and texted and had a few dinner meetings and a brunch or two to get all of our bases covered. Then before we knew it, it was the week of our wedding and guess what we were doing? We were relaxing! My fiance and I weren't fighting or flipping out about anything, we weren't stressed about logistics, we weren't scrambling to get any last minute stuff done, and we really weren't worrying about anything on OUR end. It was awesome! We worked our butts off to make our wedding amazing but there is no way we could have done it without Jordan's help along the way. And that wasn't even her primary duty - she was our Day-Of-Coordinator. She went so far above and beyond for us and we are so grateful. As for the Day-Of, well, I'm not sure there's much to say about it because it was literally PERFECT. As a party planner for a politician I've never really had the ability to relax and enjoy a party, nor did I ever want to, really. I throw parties and I run them and that's how I like it. On my wedding day I was worried I'd slip into my party planner mind frame and try to run things or worry about logistics etc. That absolutely never happened - I enjoyed every single second of my wedding. WE (My husband and I) enjoyed every second of the day and it was because of Jordan. I can't even tell you what she did that day because I was too busy enjoying myself and being the Bride and having the BEST DAY EVER. Seriously, Jordan was our angel and she made our day actually BE the best day ever - to us, that's not just a quote used on wedding decor and bridesmaid gifts anymore. Best Day Ever is 100% a real thing and it can be for anyone! But, you have to get Jordan first! We LOVE you Jordan. YOU and your services ARE PRICELESS. Logan and I won't be getting married again, but we do love to throw a good party so I'm sure we'll find some excuse to work with you again. People, get Jordan. Have the best day ever, for real :-)

We chatted with them several times about our vision (heavy appetizers featuring our favorites like chicken & waffles and poke), to which they translated into an incredible tasting, which then became a successful cocktail-style reception with amazing food that our guests raved about. The presentation of the appetizers was adorable and coordinated with the rest of our wedding decor. They were available when I had random questions for them during the planning process, and were flexible with us regarding the menu when we requested small tweaks in a family recipe they recreated for us. It is clear from talking to them and visiting their pop-up events throughout Sacramento that they are passionate about the food they prepare and building their presence in the greater Sacramento area. They just opened up a restaurant in Galt (Streetzlan), so if you do not seek them out for catering services then be sure to check out their restaurant for some more deliciousness.

They layer a lot of different flavors and make harmonious dishes worthy of 4 star restaurants. The food was so affordable for how many quality ingredients were used. The flavors were so good and the owner Erick was super nice. I asked them be the food vendor for a fundraiser I hosted and everyone was BLOWN away by the food! They made delicious and thoughtful food that both adults and children enjoyed! They had a vegetarian option that was satisfying to this meat lover. And their meat was so tender and flavorful! Everyone raved about how good the food was at my event a while after the event ended. Not only that, but they loved the kind service that they got from this sweet young family. They were so professional and easy to work with! I told them that there would be a lot of kids and they had no problem creating kid-friendly food even though most chefs of this caliber don't want to make more simple food. They went above and beyond all my expectations and I would hire them again for literally any event. I have referred KnifeLyfe to my friends and family for their catering needs and I will go out of my way to seek out their food at farmers markets and events. You've GOT to try their food!

I went with the Zone meals and at first I was skeptical about not being able to choose my meals, but in the end it was kinda nice to just come home and eat what was ready to go. It was the same feeling as when I was a kid and would come home and ask, "What's for dinner?"
