This was chosen as our location to have high tea with several family members. The outside and gardens are gorgeous to simply look at and walk around. The staff sat us at a lovely area of couches and made sure that anyone with any allergies or preferences were taken care of. More sweet than savory in the selection but the food was delicious as was the tea. Nice selection of different teas you can choose from while enjoying the company of those with you. Afterwards we walked down to the Echo Point Lookout and viewed the three sisters rocks before walking back. A wonderful thing to do after a heavy high tea. read more

Went to the tea room for lunch while visiting the three sisters. This place was sooooo good!!!! I would say top 3 meals while in Australia. The atmosphere was so unique and relaxing plus the food was delicious. There is parking on site if your drove up there (free). The bathrooms were clean. We never felt like we were in a tourist destination. I highly suggest any of teas as well.... it is an experience all on its own! read more

If I had the dough, Lilianfels would be my hotel of choice to escape and unwind. But for now, I have to feel content with just the dining option. Every trip to the Blue Mountains involves high tea at The Lounge. For me this is the best afternoon tea in Sydney with the scones and little cakes all really fresh and delicious. And the great thing is that you can sit with your tiered plates on couches in front of a log fire during winter. Perfect. Despite the resort itself being a 5 star location, the Lounge is such a lovely, casual place to stop by and relax. And if you want to continue the journey you can always dine at Darleys or have an indulgent spa treatment, albeit it being incredibly pricey. Love this place! read more

Stayed there for a weekend. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and pleasant. The room was large with a good size bathroom. High tea was little disappointing, and we were seated right behind the pianist, as lovely as she played it was very loud and we couldn't have a conversation until she finished, I would probably skip high tea next time. Had 3 spa sessions and the ladies there were professional and great, I was very relaxed and pampered that weekend, I would recommend a facial or hot stones while you are there. Booked a room with a view, but unfortunately as it was on a lower level, the street tree line obstructed the gorgeous mountain view we were after, so paid extra for no view, we'll definitely be back but will request a room on a higher floor. Don't miss on dinning at Daryles, I highly recommend it, I found it one of the best fine dinning. read more

So I stayed here the last three nights with my family in two rooms. The hotel has a lot of character and is very quaint. The rooms are clean and good size. The location is excellent for visiting the Three Sisters and Echo Point both of which are within walking distance. There were two items that caused concern during my stay, one was the parking which is hit or miss but ultimately I was able to find a place in most cases and then I had a difficult experience with the night manager who I will refer to as "there is a charge for that". I was interested in finding a cup of coffee and while we were successful in making sure I knew I had to pay for coffee (this was obvious since everything is expensive here, but we knew that before we arrived), we were not able to get me the desired cup of coffee. Once I finally gave up, I decided to wander throughout the hotel (it was early in the morning) and the same gentleman who could not provide coffee, asked me twice if he could help - we finally left and got the coffee in town. We are traveling with three kids so we did not try any of the on site restaurants but based on the menu they look wonderful. We did have room service and it was acceptable although the soup was delivered like warm. I doubt we would stay here again, but we are glad to have the experience and would recommend it is an option to first time visitors to the region. read more

This property is oozing with old world charm! From the elegant and supremely cozy lobby to the romantic and charming bedroom suites this place is everything a weekender dreams of. With stunning views, the hotel is just steps away from some of the most fantastic scenery and remarkable cliff walk. Loved sitting in the lobby and enjoying the fire. We also had dinner in the lobby. While the food was very good my only complaint during our entire stay was that the dinner service in the lobby was not particularly friendly. Loved, loved, loved our room! It was romantic, comfortable, large and just about perfect! The breakfast buffet was large and full of delicious options. The property actually has two pools. One indoor and one outdoor. Since it was winter we used the indoor one and it was great! Not too warm and not too cold. A great amenity! read more

Don't do breakfast here it's expensive, bad service and a long wait. I got my omelette twice and 4 pots of tea instead of 2. Service is bad and they walk around as headless chicken there is a lack of management in the breakfast room. I am up past 10 pm with music thumping from downstairs. Waiting for the party to end. Just make sure you ask for a room away from any possible event happening in the hotel. It's a lovely hotel. Just a bit agitated I can't sleep because of the noise. We are on our honeymoon, and this is our third hotel and this place has treated us with the least amount of care. Beautiful place, a bit disappointed in enthusiasm of service, the view from our rooms and the noise. Otherwise, ok. Maybe you can get a better view next door. Wifi slow. read more

Lovely spot nestled among the blue mountains. Classic decor with lounges and tables. My friend& I were seated next to window and we had the deluxe high tea which included a glass of sparkling, tea, sandwiches, scones and an array of sweet delights including cheesecake, lemon meringue tart, a cream/mango concoction served in a shot glass. The ambiance was nice with pianist providing soothing music. I can only imagine how nice it woud be in winter.It is very family oriented with children of all ages around, this may be because it was a Sunday. The food was ok, I've had much better high tea elsewhere, and the selection of two sandwiches (salami & roast beef) was non. There was two scones each-a substitute of something else would have been preferable. It just tasted same same. If your in the area visiting the mountains then its worth checking out, if your looking for that high tea experience then go elsewhere.
