I found myself in this part of California on a road trip and after driving a long way saw Lilac Massage. I parked outside and walked in. The spa is very clean and looks very nice inside. A lady came to the front and took the $70 for one hour. She took me back to a very nice room to the right. The room was very clean also, everything looked fresh. This place had no bad smells. Mary came back and started a very good one hour massage. She speaks good English and checked on the pressure several times. I got a very relaxing massage for my full hour. The hot towel to clean the oil off felt very good as well. Got a bottle of water, left a decent $20 tip and went back to the hotel. I will come back. read more

After driving to Yosemite from Vegas, my guy was having pretty bad back issues. As we still had lots of exploring to do, I called to book him a massage. They got him in VERY QUICKLY. I called at 2:15 and he got an appointment for 3:00. They are CASH ONLY. It is very centrally located but also tucked away behind Alpenglow Gear Co. They really know how to take care of you and massage you just the right way. If you're concerned with privacy or need all the fluffiness of an expensive spa then don't come here. Everyone is one big room but it is quiet and semi-private. Great Massage. I'll be back soon. read more

Excellent massage. I have a 20 year history of chronic back spasms and use regular massage therapy for maintenance. I had a massive knot form just below my right shoulder after a spasm in the morning, putting a ton of tension on the muscles left of it. Then I drove for 3 hours to start my vacation in Yosemite. By the time I got to oakhurst I was hurting, so I checked Yelp and Lilac popped up. I called and a friendly lady said they were available for a 1hr session. I arrived, was greeted by Mary and acknowledged as having just called. She was able to zero in on my trouble spots and focus on them. She asked about pressure throughout my hour. I called and was able to get a appointment within 30 minutes. I arrived and the lady was very nice and welcoming. The room was private with a curtain door, which was fine with me. She started my massage on my neck and head which was great. Then she started on my back. She used way to much pressure. I guessed I flinched away she asked "too hard" I said, less pressure please. She proceeds to use her arm to massage and really pushed with her elbow,which was very sharp. She then moved to my legs. Which was just ok. As mentioned in previous reviews she was very chatty, which I didn't mind. It may bother some. After I got home my back was really sore. I looked in mirror and there's red spot where her elbow caused me to flinch. It's now 3:00 a.m. and I'm still awake because my back muscles hurt so bad. It really feels like she bruised it. Also website says credit cards accepted, but she only takes cash. As nice as she was I will not be returning. read more

This is a new business in Oakhurst and it deserves a great review. Mary is experienced and professional. Although English is her second language, she is friendly, warm and welcoming. She asks if you want a light, medium or hard massage. I chose medium and felt she got to the sore muscles without overdoing it. She charges $50 for a full 60-minute massage, including hot stones, hot oil, and a bottle of water which I thought was quite reasonable. The facilities are clean and relaxing. I'm a local so I sent my husband in the following week. He was pleased and impressed as well. read more

I slept on my neck wrong two nights ago. So I was looking to get into a massage/spa fairly quickly as the stretching wasn't helping. While the place seemed cleaned, it was not relaxing. The rooms do not have doors, they have curtains, so noise from other customers or passerby can hear what's going on in the room and the client, me, can everything outside of the room. The lady was polite but extremely talkative and my personal experience with massages the therapist is normally quiet.. so the client can relax. The biggest issue I experienced was the cost. While the massage itself was cheap, yay! I paid for an hour massage and got a solid 30 minutes. After that I could tell the therapist was tired, she even stated she was tired. Due to the lack of actual massaging I didn't plan on tipping. However, when I went to leave the therapist actually asked, "Do you have tip for me?" I honestly will not be returning. But if your looking for a quick, halfway decent massage go for it. read more
