He gave me all the brisket he had left which was well over 1/2lb. The meats are flavorful and tender. Didn't need sauce but the sauce is good too. If the meats are the star, then the sides are like the best background singer in the group. Let me tell you about the a Mac N Cheese: I grew up eating a looser, creamy Mac my Mom would make with several cheeses. This man's Mac is creamy, loose and delicious. I won't tell you what's in it but it's amazing. I'm not even a big sides guy but that Mac is ridiculous. Yams were good. There these little cornbread cups that I think he cooks in the smoker and then he said the tops in butter. All good. 20/10 would recommend. I'm definitely going back.

The mac & cheese and lamb chops were my absolute favorite! Hands down some of the best lamb chops I've ever had. And I hate to say it but the yams, cabbage, and cornbread might have my grandma beat! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. You can tell they actually take their time and make their food from scratch. Usually with BBQ places, either the meats are good and the sides are just okay, or vice versa, but NOT HERE. They killed it with everything! The owners were also so friendly and welcoming probably the best service I've ever had at a food truck. The whole setup was clean and welcoming, and even though it's a food truck, the atmosphere was laid back and inviting. They had just started serving frozen lemonade and gave me one to try for free, and it was SO BOMB!! I would come back for the lemonade and honey cornbread alone The portions were definitely shareable and worth every dime we spent. My whole family enjoyed our Sunday dinner. 10/10, we'll definitely be back!

Ok - this was my first time trying Julian's so I WILL be back. On my first visit I ordered 1lb of…read morethe cracklings and 2 boudin links. He made the cracklings fresh and the boudin was received nice and hot. When I got home and opened the boudin, he threw in some shrimp too, hell yeah! So the main reason for the 3 stars is that my order for 1lb of cracklings and 2 boudin links was $55 +! Fairly positive the price went up per lb of cracklings from before I went because I legit did a double take before paying. The cracklings were good and fresh, and the seasoning he puts on them is really good with a nice noticeable kick. Nothing crazy but if you don't like spicy you probably won't like it, I just wish the seasoning was mixed better. The boudin was HUGE and really tasty, but I actually preferred to cut into the casing and eat the inside itself as I didn't care for the flavor of the casing too much. The shrimp was really good. I'll definitely be back to try the actual plates he sells as I was unaware. I'll prob grab a fried fish and/or shrimp plate or maybe a poboy. The owner was super friendly and nice too!

Julian's Food Truck - A Hidden Gem Worth the Hype!…read more Extra, Extra... read all about it! Today, we stumbled upon what might just be the best food truck ever! We were on a mission to find some cracklins, but what we discovered was so much more--a true Southern feast on wheels. Julian's food truck is the definition of a hidden gem. Not only did we get our cracklins, but we went all in and ordered a little bit of everything: boudin links, boudin balls, fried catfish (my personal favorite), black-eyed peas, red beans and rice, smothered pork chops, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, mustard greens, and even pig feet. Every bite was packed with rich, homemade flavor, just like Grandma used to make. If you're looking for incredible soul food that hits all the right notes, Julian's is the place to be. Don't just take my word for it--go see him for yourself, then tell somebody!

This truck pops up and the reviews indicate this is a must-visit. Well they aren't wrong. It looks like it's in a weird area but once you hear the music blaring from the speakers, you know you're in the right spot. Tacos are quite affordable and packed with flavor. The trompo, bistek, and that barbacoa cannot be denied as they kick ass across the board. Recommend bringing cash but they also do paypal/venmo/cashapp/zelle. Fortunately I had some paper with me to make the transaction. They made everything quick so I could get back to my hotel and eat everything which was still hot and savory. Definitely a quality truck/stand with delicious mexican eats that will hit the spot, do not sleep on this one!

Staff is incredibly friendly but please note that they are a cash-only establishment. They do not take any cards. The truck seems to be well kept up with and the surrounding lot doesn't ever have trash laying around. The inside of the truck also looks as though it is kept clean! The food itself is great, some of my favorite sopes in town, but the quality can jump from time to time. I believe in recent years management has changed, but overall the food is decently consistent.
