They had a great selection of used and new instruments and their pricing was competitive. I journeyed from a used piano to a new one to a digital in the end, which saves money on rising tuning costs and other considerations. I was a stickler to make sure they were a qualified service center of this brand to avoid future headaches if an issue ever arises. I'd give them an excellent rating and I hope they read this. I have changed this from a 1-star review to 3-star, due to the fact that the other owner, Rich, contacted me immediately upon seeing it and reading what happened. As the other owner, Tim, did nothing to help the situation, I can't recommend them. But Rich reached out immediately to apologize, refunded my money, and got me a detailed and corrected appraisal of the instrument, with lots of interesting background about it. He is obviously very knowledgeable, and cares about his company and its reputation. He also let me know that the first appraisal was incorrect because they used the wrong model, which is a serious error. Pianos have greatly differing values, so if they don't use the correct model it will certainly make a huge difference in what the sale price should be. Original 1-star review: Hired this company to do an appraisal of my mom's baby grand piano, which cost $265. Guy came out to evaluate it on August 9. I never heard back from anyone. After almost a month had passed and leaving 5 or 6 messages on their answering machine without reaching anyone, sent 3 emails without reply, I finally reached a person. Had to threaten filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General to finally have them send me what I'd paid for. Then what I finally received did not match up with what the guy who came to evaluate it, nor what the person from the same company said about it when she tuned it the year before. Something is up here and it stinks. I now have to get this re-evaluated by someone else. Stay away from what appears to be a very unreliable company that's happy to take your money, but not provide the service they were paid for.

In August I stopped by Clemmers in person because I couldn't reach anyone by phone for a while or leave a message. The clarinet had lost the claim ticket and instead of an estimate, it was repaired. It is a Selmar instrument. My end of the claim ticket states after 60 days the store can keep the instrument. I paid $375 for repadding and repairs. The mouthpiece was missing so I returned to Clemmers and they gave me a Bundy mouthpiece with a bent ligature. In February when my son added private lessons in addition to group school lessons the teacher said the keys where not making full contact with the body of the instrument. I took it for an assessment in Pottstown and was told the pads were the wrong size and it was not aligned. I wrote to the owner of Clemmers with this information from the second assessment and left my cell number, email address and home address and no one contacted me. Today I had a few minutes so I stopped by on my way home from work and spoke with the owner. He said I should have brought the instrument back and the person who repaired it the second time was not certified to repair it like his wife is. He said she is one of only 24 people people certified in woodwind repairs. So he cant do anything. Which is probably right. Be careful. My interaction with Clemmers was awful starting when I dropped the instrument off for an estimate.
