The go to people for equipment and event hire. Always knowledgable, helpful in picking out the right lights and extras. Extra cables and powerboards are free and if there's not a lot of bookings you may even get an extra day for free (handy if you are heading up the sunny coast for a wedding say). Have rented with them many times and even subscribe to their DJ and lighting tips newsletters. read more

Lightsounds has all your sound and lighting needs for your next party of all parties (if you can remember it afterwards). They have DJ equipment, speakers, effects machines and all sorts of insane lighting that will probably send your guests into strobe induced seizures. Everything is available to hire as well as buy but unfortunately both options are very pricey. The store assistants are very helpful though and knowledgeable about all the equipment, though they somehow manage to make me feel seriously uncool when I'm in here. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Chris B.

In April 2016, Lightsounds Brisbane was purchased by Light Up My Life and moved 14 kms (about 15 to 20 minutes along Ipswich Road) to the Light Up My Life shop at Acacia Ridge. The new location offers customers easy access from Ipswich, Beaudesert or Granard Roads. There's parking right in front of the door as well as a much larger range of brands and products from a fully stocked lighting and audio showroom along with an extensive hire inventory with gear for every occasion. Opening hours at the new location have been increased to 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9 to 3 on Saturdays. Chris and the staff at Light Up My Life and Lightsounds Brisbane have many years of experience in the Party and Entertainment industries that will help ensure you receive the best advice and products for your needs - whether you're purchasing or hiring.
