Right Price DIY is located on the outskirts of Shepton Mallet they have a large warehouse style…read moreshop which is crammed full of products from screws to ladders. The shop sells all sort of items related to DIY jobs. The price are very reasonable and the staff have often helped me find the item I am looking for. It is hard to find items inside the shop as it is a bit dark and disorganised. The shop is cram backed full of items which makes it hard to see the items available. They also sell some larger items such as patio slabs, fence panels etc. They offer local delivery but there is a charge. There are usually a couple of young members of staff outside to assist with loading the car and getting items down from on racks. The staff are all very helpful and polite although they do look very scruffy but I guess it is a job where you would get very dirty. There is plenty of parking available at the shop. The shop is not suitable for wheelchair users and the shop is over crowded with products and the walkways are not wide enough.

I wasn't happy with a fire kit I was about to buy because it had some marks on it, so I wanted another one ordered. However, she said "you might change your mind" when she told me it would cost about 20% more. The phrase she used is rather unfortunate. But then so is her whole manner. She needs retraining by Mary Portas, Queen of Shops. As the others say, buy elsewhere, buy from someone who cares. She is an owner with attitude, and she "ain't bovvered".

I am a small business owner myself and to hear people really badmouthing such businesses as By the Fire kind of got my back up. It is very difficult for small businesses to compete with the internet or larger companies who bulk buy but the fact that By the Fire has been a strong local business for so many years has got to count for something. I have purchased many goods from their shop and found the Manageress to be nothing but proffessional and courteous. Im sure your experiance was a one off.

The Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The few times I have been in, they have had a large selection of nets on the roll, which they can cut to size and they also sell all the accessories from tracks to hooks and poles. The prices are quiet high but the quality is really good so its a good stopping point!

After installing it in a shower and being extremely careful, I have found that the image is extremely fragile with excessive micro scratches pretty much everywhere. It is a sublimated image on a coated tile and should be much more durable for that application. As far as appearance, it is drop dead gorgeous.

Sadly the kitchen units feel a bit cheap and flimsy and the cost is not good value for money given that you have to add on all the extras like handles, appliances, splash backs etc. The January sale event looks like a great deal, but is actually what the units are worth - i.e. 50% RRP. Remember to also add on installation as this is not included in the prices displayed/offers. Staff are friendly and keen to help but are let down by the location and products.
