Lovely friendly atmosphere, we got a warm welcome when we arrived. They do a good range of food served Mon-Sat 12pm -8pm and Sunday Lunch 12pm - 3pm. I have not tried a Sunday lunch yet but have been midweek when the food was lovely, generous portions! I thought the cost of the main meals were very good and were what I expect from a local pub. Talking to the lady behind the bar she informed us that they have just added some B&B accommodation, this will come in handy for relatives visiting us from Yorkshire, a bit different from the usual premier inn. The pub itself has a very nice lounge, very relaxing with fireplace. There is plenty of seating in the restaurant and this has a warm atmosphere. There is a separate bar area which also has a nice feel to it. I will come back here again, and although I do not live in Ellington, i wish this was my local! Plenty of parking outside the pub. Fantastic pub grub with a good atmosphere and pleasant surroundings, I'll be back!

One of the group cheekily added her request to the already comprehensive menu,........ and got it, Katrina actually going out to obtain her request. Stunning!! Can't speak too highly of the food, some fussy eaters were really blown away by the quality of the food. The Inn itself, is lovely and comfortable, with great atmosphere. Thanks for making the meal special x

I booked our accommodation online. Its location (ten minutes walk from the train station) is perfect, right on the Crescent Terrace on the West Cliff. Our room was the Classic Bay, spacious, light and comfortable with a great view of the North Sea. The owners, the Gallaghers, were gracious hosts, friendly and very accommodating of our requests and our needs (we left very early on our last morning, prior to breakfast, but they provided a very satisfying boxed meal. Breakfasts are a special treat, with a variety of choices, tasty food properly cooked and politely served by the attentive waitstaff. I should also mention that the price is quite competitive, also. For a three-night stay, they offer a discount of 5%, so ours was 95 pounds per night ($147). All in all, a real treat!!

The interior is immaculate: beautiful modern decor that isn't flashy, nor does it detract from the architecture of the building. Excellent service: Leo is an attentive and friendly host who goes to great lengths to look after the comfort of his guests. Good food: Breakfast is generous and hearty Whenever friends come to town, I recommend that they stay here rather than with me. I've got the room, but they'll be more comfortable and better looked after!

The decor is…read moretasteful and the ambience is stylish yet relaxed, with lots of little touches and attention to detail which larger places lack (books to borrow, a decanter and glasses in the hallway). The owners cook your breakfast to order from a delicious menu which includes 'tipsy porridge' (porridge with cream and whisky - has to be tasted!) and Northumbrian kippers. They are happy to cater for vegetarians and the approach is friendly without being intrusive. Great value in terms of comfort and level of service/comfort - although a small B&B this is a treat to stay in. Highly recommended! (Also has connections with a pioneering female sociologist, Harriet Martineau).

Dinner and the service was nothing short of excellent. The carrot and coriander soup was delicious, garlic mushrooms and a roasted vegie tart were memorable. David and Joyce had lamb, Bobby had halibut, I think I had salmon. The desserts were equally scrumptious. Sometimes a place of this nature will be too stiff and formal for our liking, making us feel out of place. We want to relax and enjoy our food, not feel we are on display to the ever so watching servers. Dunstanburgh had all the qualities of an upper class establishment but without the stiffness. We felt welcomed and right at home.

My Dad now has a one bedroomed house and so me, my sister and our partners had to book a hotel. We stayed in the All Welcome In which is walking distance from the race track and offered Luxury En Suite rooms. Our room was a twin room with extremely dated bedding and decoration. It looked and smelt like the room had not been lived in for several years and as for the en suite?? A cupboard with a toilet and shower cubicle would have been a better description! And the door fell off after we tried to open it the second time. All in all two nights cost £71 for the two of us on a bed and breakfast basis. We did not dare to eat the breakfast but another guest made a complaint due to the bread being frozen, only to be told that they put it out frozen so it stays fresher for longer!! If we had not paid £40 deposit on the rooms and there was another hotel available (they all get booked up very quickly on a race weekend) then we would have definitely stayed else where. I cannot stress enough how awful the hotel was and would suggest that if anyone stays in Redcar, stay well away from the All Welcome In!

For £12 I wasn't expecting much but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I have stayed in much worse places where I have been charged around £70 per night. The twin rooms were quite large and included a w/c with shower. The decor was a little outdated but for the price we were well satsified. The rooms were clean and clean towels were provided. The breakfast was a full English with plenty of tea refills and toast. The landlady was very friendly and extremely helpful and gave us some good local information and directions. If you are looking for 'Jack & Vera Duckworth' type B&B accommodation and you are on a budget, then I can highly recommend this place. If you want something more upmarket, then try elsewhere and be prepared to pay much more than £12 a night.
