We reserved their services for Easter weekend. We requested cornhole and s'mores. Due to only having an 8:30pm time slot available, they offered to comp cornhole. When we arrived, there were no s'mores and no cornhole. No design in the sand, like the other cute pics. It was quite basic. After asking about the s'mores, the attendant ended up going to the store and giving it to us with only 30 minutes left in the reservation. He said that cornhole was unavailable. For such a pricey service, we were left very underwhelmed. I ended up texting the support number, but never received a response. Based on the lack of follow up and general care with our reservation, I recommend going with another company. read more

Our Condo "Shores of Panama" had an owners party weekend and we started it off with a bonfire evening with Light Me Up Beach Bonfires. It was magical. Starting out with the patio light entrance and the nice comfortable beach chairs, to the two magnificent bonfires. We had S'mores and it was so fun roasting marshmallows again which I have not done for about three years. They had sparklers which was fun to watch and participate in. The ambiance was perfect for mingling and having fun. The young gentleman who was keeping the fires attended did a great job and he was very personable. Incredible bonfire setup! This was one of the surprises on my bachelorette party and it was absolutely perfect! I called the company two days prior to my bonfire, during the busiest week in years, and asked if we could go from 8 chairs to 21 chairs. It was a big ask, but she made it work!! We also did the food service, and when the dessert we ordered from the restaurant was sold out, she called a local place and had them make it - for 21 people - and the day was saved again. This is a great company that is committed to having a good experience. We are repeat customers, and I will continue to use them in the future. Our family booked a beach bonfire for our vacation. Lauren was really nice and set things up wonderfully for us. We paid our $81 deposit and awaited the fun bonfire. Unfortunately the weather was bad- very windy- and they had to cancel. I spoke with Lauren and she apologized- again she was very friendly and kind. The bad news is that if they have to cancel due to weather, the keep your deposit, so I'm out $81 for a bonfire that never happened. I'm guessing that happens a lot as the beach weather can be unpredictable, so that's a lot of money coming in for very little work on their part. I'd hope they'd reconsider this policy in the future to maybe half the deposit or $20 or some lesser amount? Until then, buyer beware if you book a beach bonfire through Light Me Up. read more

Scheduled a bonfire for our group a few weeks in advance. The day before we left for the trip I got a voicemail that there was a county wide burn ban due to the dry weather and they would work on a refund. Called back and they said it may rain so the burn ban could be lifted. Waiting until the day of and it had rained, called the number 8 times and got a voicemail every time. Not sure if the ban was lifted or not but there was no communication. Over a week later and I've still not been able to reach anyone about a refund. read more

We were excited to have a bonfire for our family the night before our wedding, but unfortunately it did not go well. In hindsight, maybe a bonfire in January isn't the best idea even in Florida. However the biggest disappointment was not in the weather - it was the difficult communication and extremely poor placement of the chairs and bonfire. Getting in touch was difficult repeatedly, but eventually we got everything situated and they were great about a last minute date change. BUT the food table, over half the chairs, and fire pit were IN the water less than one hour into our event. We were told this is because permitting requires placement a certain distance between the water and the dunes, but if it had been set up even 10 yards to the left or right (the same distance between the water and dunes) there would have been no issue - it was set up in a depression that quickly became a small tide pool. We did not feel we got even close to our money's worth given the short time period of being dry and having to leave for safety. Would highly recommend choosing one of the many other bonfire companies in the area - hopefully they scope locations before setting up in a tide pool. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience with this company. My first contact with them was after a week of trying to get a hold of them! After that week of waiting and still having no one reach back out I tried calling a couple more times and again leaving a voice message. There messaging system states they return calls within the order they're received, but I had called a week before? So finally I texted the number explaining I had still not received a call back and how disappointed I was. In my opinion this is no way to run a business. You're losing business and making people upset for wasting their time! As if that wasn't bad enough...it gets much worse!! She (the owner) then decided it would be a good time to call me! I've never in my life experienced such a lack of unprofessionalism!! She was filled with hate! Immediately started to scream at me! I was very taken a back and honestly for a second didn't know how to respond. She made me feel so uncomfortable. Stating it's not fair for me to write a review of my experience and that it was "hard for her to believe" she had over looked my phone call. Excuse me? How is it not fair I leave an honest review? You dropped the ball and didn't do your job...period the end. And your mad at me? Everyone is entitled to writing an honest review of their experience! How many other people has she bullied out of writing honest reviews?! The sad part is this could of been handled easily.. sure I was upset for the time I had to wait, but this at first was a small issue she could have responded humbly and I would have most likely responded graciously. But instead of her taking responsibility for her lack of organization and apologizing she blames the customer? Way to go lol that's really going to make the situation better don't you think?! Unbelievable!! Stay FAR away! She's lucky I don't call the authorities for the way she acted! This woman is crazy and nothing good comes to people who act like that! read more

I would never do business with a company that forces families out of their site on the beach. As a family we have spent over 10 years enjoying the beaches in this area. We have never experienced a more inconsiderate company. Our family was enjoying lunch at Inlet beach when Light Me Up began setting up. The employee and his girl friend acted like they didn't even see our 5 children under 10 years old and began setting out fire pits on both sides of our site. Instead of kindly stopping to explain their permit required them to a particular area of a PUBLIC beach, they continued setting up chairs, tables, and tiki torches on top of us. When we asked if it was necessary to set up so close to our small children, the employee replied "Well, the party doesn't even start for another 3 hours." A couple down the beach approached the employee and expressed their horror in what they were witnessing. At that point, we moved our children down the beach without any apology or consideration to help us move. The owner, who appears to have small children of his own, arrived and approached us when we were moving all of our belongings to a safer spot down the beach. Not once did the employee or the owner ask to help us move. They were clearly more concerned about setting up in the "prime location" on the beach. Other families approached us expressing horror that a company would do such a thing. We are hopeful this company considers their priorities in the future and that consumers consider a company that values safety, manners, and common courtesy. read more
