If I could give 0 stars I would. At the time school pictures came around, our family was moving to another state. I had made sure to forward them to family's address in MN to make sure I get them. This was is March. Did I get them? Nope... Contacted their chat agents which said they resent them out. Ok cool. But no... still nothing. IT IS NOW MAY. I contacted them again, and THIS time, the agent provides tracking numbers. Of course I know nothing will show the first day... but I go to check today and they are OLD tracking numbers and the last one showed delivered in APRIL. WHEREEREREE?????? At this point Im livid and was determined I was never going to get my children's prints and demanded a refund through their chat system so lets see if that even goes through because if not I will be filing a claim with my bank. Seems like the chat agents on the website (are they even human?) is the only way to contact them. I tried calling the number provided on the website however the automated menus keeps trying to redirect you out of the line by forcing you whether you want texts on your phone or another phone and wont let you go through until you select either or it will hang up on you. When I finally get through theres nothing... just quiet.... which forced me back to their chat agents. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. At least I have the digital versions of their individual pictures but now I cant get their class pictures. VERY LIVID AND DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

Would give negative stars if possible. For over 18 years, like many hard working parents, I've had to endure the painful school photo process with this sub-par company. The photos are ALWAYS terrible... off center, wrong name or grade on photo, blurry, and on top of all of it they are EXTREMELY overpriced. The website is slow, clunky, unresponsive... many of the links don't work, the "chat" assistant is ineffective, doesn't answer the question or the links don't work when given. There's no way to speak with an actual person either. The only reason this company is still in business is because there are no other choices. Thank goodness I only have one more year I need to deal with this show. If you're a photographer and looking for a great opportunity, get into the school photo business and throw these jokers out. Just do a tinsy bit better and you'll be money! Seriously, it wouldn't take much. read more

Giving zero stars reason for 2 weeks I've been trying to get my childs digital pictures loaded. I was told i would receive a call or email in 48 to 72 hours we are now on hour 400 and something still no call or email.. nor have i gotten his pictures from this place. If I could give a 0 I would . Lifetouch has failed to show up for 3rd time after calling literally begging to take pictures of my children. They canceled After the time they were supposed to show up. THIS IS THE 3rd year in a row. This is truly unprofessional and very disappointing for the parents and kids. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN !!! read more

Haven't received my kids pictures from school... have emailed and tried to call. No one response.... great way to waste my time and money

Overpriced mediocre photos and I hate the photo pkg combination. Why can't they provide a nice affordable option with just the larger two photo sizes for parents and grandparents and no tiny ones? I compleatly agree with the previous comment about lazy photographers. They could not even have my child wipe some frosting from her mouth from her cinnamon roll that was served for school breakfast. Because I opted for a cheaper pkg with no photo editing it did not get edited out. The picture would have been acceptable without the food on her face. read more

My son took this picture on Friday 9/18/2020. We placed a picture order on 10/06/2020. Waited two months with no updates regarding the picture we ordered. I reached out to LifeTouch on 11/16/2020 and was informed my order would deliver to the school by the end of the week. After the Thanksgiving school break, I reached out to the school on 11/30/2020 and was very disappointed to hear Lifetouch failed again to send the pictures. I tried to reached the Sales Manager via email, office, and cell phone numbers with no response. I decided to get onto the LifeTouch Chat. When a representative came on, they informed me the order was shipped and accepted by the school on 11/19/2020. I asked for a tracking number as proof. They provided the following tracking 1Z584Y36030035433. I tried the tracking number and it shows delivery to Baldwin Park, Ca. I mention to the representative the school district is nowhere close to Baldwin Park let alone in the same County. The representative would not answer my questions regarding the inconsistencies with the tracking number and the delivery address. It seems they tried to pass on a bogus tracking number. LifeTouch then tried to offer a re-order which would take another 4 weeks! I decline and requested a refund, which the representative indicates would take another 7-10 days. I run a successful business and nonprofit organization, and I have never heard of a refund taking that long. Now I have to seek out an alternative company to get his school picture. This has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Beware if your school uses LifeTouch as the photograph services. read more

Unbelievable! Theyhave screwed up my 9th grade God Daughters photos 3* times!!!! They all say 2nd grade on them! How a 15 year old girl is still in second grade boggles the mind. They have also screwed up my girlfriends son's photos' 3 out of the last 5 years,,,,, They have absolutely no quality control, and if they know they are going to be that busy in fall, they should more QC people. Spent two hours on the phone over two days to get the correct photo and still nothing. Useless.

Since this is the head quarter for Life Touch, i will post here. They have by far the worst service ever and follow through. So I paid before his picture date, the photographer didn't take his pictures, even though he was at school, yet the company never returned the money I had to call to get it refunded. Had to go to another school to get pics taken, the photographer didn't even fix the shirt, like these people are supposed to be professional, ok fine I can do with the shirt being a little off. This was since October, I have called, chatted endlessly I have already paid and NO PICTURES! I requested expedited shipping because at this point it's ridiculous having to call to get pictures that were taken so long ago, and they declined. They stated digital ones would be sent, none have been added. LIFE TOUCH has had by far the worst possible lack of professionalism I have ever experienced. Going into January almost and Life touch can't get their sh** together yes, I'm pissed because I've had to call only to be told wait another week they are being sent and I call today and they haven't even been PROCESSED!! read more

One of the worst customer service call centers I have ever dealt with! I ordered my daughters photos on August 18. I called today to ask the status and found out that the school had not used Lifetouch photos this year. How interesting that they will send me an email to renew and purchase and yet never notify me or pay me for an incorrect order. I was on hold for 35 minutes before being able to speak with a representative. He was not knowledgeable or helpful. I had to speak with a manager in order to try to figure out this order. What a poor example of customer service. Don't use them if you don't have to! read more

Obviously I have no choice in the matter of who my childs school hires to take their school pictures. This company has been taking pictures at schools in the East Bay for years. They took my pictures in elementary school all those years ago. Now Im a mom with a kindergartner and the day has come for me to order photos. As I looked at the packages available to order I realized something. I dont need 8 wallet sized photos of my kid. I dont need 4 3x5 photos of my kid. The packages they sell are completely ridiculous and unnecessary. I dont want an 8x10 of my kids picture either. I know for a fact that my mom still has the envelope from all my picture days still full of wallets and those little 3x5 pictures still in a box somewhere. Wallets are completely useless these days!! So I see they have "Customize Your Package" option. Great I think. They force you to pay $44 to start and a minimum of 3 sheets. When their $20 package is 2 3x5's and 4 wallets and a class picture. Enough with the wallets! I dont want wallets!! Who would ever order such small sizes?! Dont call your package customizable when theres a flat fee thats more expensive than your cheapest package. And the cheapest package is worthless except for the class photo. Im also a photographer. I could take just as nice quality photos of my kid, edit them in Photoshop with the same standard background and order the sizes I want for probably less than $20 at the nice photography processing store up the street. For $44 I got 2 5x7's a class photo and since I had to have 3 sheets I threw in 4 3x5's to give to immediate family. Hey, heres an idea, how about a standard sized 4x6? That would be awesome. What I ordered is not worth $44. Also, I thought by ordering online I could get them shipped to my house. How about for $44 dollars you throw in shipping to my house. No, I have to wait until they get to the school and my son to bring them home. Not convenient at all. Not convenient either for family that I have out of state that I wanted to send the order code to so they could order what they wanted. I assumed they could order and have the pics sent to their homes. No, you cant do that. Im really disappointed that we are forced to pay these prices and not even really get what we want. Unfortunately, Ill be sending money to them every year now for the next 12 years of my life!! read more

I'm very angry with Lifetouch! I paid online for 2 of my 4 children (these 2 attend the same elementary school), unfortunately day of the photos. My 4th grader had her photo taken because she knew to speak up. My kindergartener did not. He is the only 1 of my 4 children who won't have a spring photo. I pay at least $300 per year to have 4 kids photos taken for their yearbook photos, spring photos, and class photos. Yet all they could do was reimburse the amount for his photos. That is their ONLY offered solution. Their customer service needs HELP! I find it unacceptable their photographers can't take 5 minutes to check online before packing up and leaving a school so that a child isn't left out, especially since they do offer the online pay. read more

We missed school pictures and retakes due to covid - stinks but is what it is. Lifetouch has had my money for the pictures since 9/23/20 and made no attempt to either retake, reschedule or refund my payment until I asked today, 1/28/21. They weren't waiting for me to reschedule because they flat out won't take them at this point, they just thought they'd keep my money and offer me nothing. They like to collect money, voluntarily returning it when they don't do what they agreed to do is not in their company policy book apparently. Now I get to upload a take at home pic to put in the yearbook - awesome. read more

Horrible service all around. I called regarding class photo that I never received. They try telling me that they didn't have anything to do with that. Im sorry but thats where our pictures came from. Supervisor is the one that told me the information. Maybe they should have their information right before giving it to a customer. Also the pictures did not turn out. The photographers didn't do a great job. I wish our school district will choose a different company. I will never buy photos from Lifetouch ever again especially when they can't be truthful and full fill the correct order. read more

Egads, the pictures they took (for our Church album) horrid! They wanted a LOT more $ to do 'touch-up' which we refused. Well, they paid us back. The pics on their computer screen looked ok (not great) but the ones sent showed every line, wrinkle - and were yellow in tone. The whole picture has a yellow cast! I am tossing them in the basket - $71 out the door. And don't get fooled by the price when looking at them on the computer - there is an additional handling, taxes, which adds a hefty sum to the bottom line. Wish I had settled for their free 8x10, it would have been less to toss. read more

WTF This company is the worst for the last 3 Years they send an inexperienced photographers who totally screws up the pictures also they lose them as well as for for the school year 2016-17 they are sending another idiot to retake October's pictures that were for Christmas time and I do not like the fact they put there name on the front of the photo's it does not even deserve to have on the back. This company gets NO STARS I am only forced to give 1 read more

If I could give 0 or negative stars here, I would. This is the worst school portrait business I have ever dealt with in my entire life! I placed two orders for my son's school pictures and still have received nothing. Their website promised that If you ordered by a certain time hat you'd have them in time for the holidays. Nope! Didn't happen. Customer service has given me different answers each time I have contacted them. Why in the world does it take 3 weeks for pictures shipped in the USA to be delivered to another address in the USA???? The USPS isn't that slow! These pictures are expensive compared to other companies. I have written my school board to ask that they stop using this vendor since they provide such atrocious customer service. If you have a choice in choosing a company to take pictures, DO NOT use them. My next step is to contact the BBB. read more

ZERO STARS. Shame on the schools for using this company. I ordered the jpeg file and never received it. Called three separate times to fix problem, finally called to cancel my order. Even when I called to get my money back the representative had a attitude and didn't want to reimburse me for services not even rendered. Every time I called in and gave them a reference number they still needed all my info and asked questions like the code I gave them didn't even exist. Its been three days and I still haven't seen the funds transferred back into my account. Poor customer service, never received my products, I don't know how they stay in business. This company got the contract to do directory photos at my father's assisted living facility in Delray Beach, FL. Haven't seen the photos themselves yet (hence giving them the benefit of the doubt with two stars), but the session started a half-hour late & the photographer was pushy, pressuring my father & a friend who has dementia--both very polite people reluctant to say no--to buy more photos than they wanted, plus expensive frames. It was senior manipulation like something out of Better Call Saul. read more

Lifetouch has always been there to take pictures of my children at school and they have always done fine. The real problems I have with them is when they took pictures for my church's directory and for my child's sport portraits. When I received my son's swimming portrait, he was so orange! Before ordering, I did see a sample of what the picture will look like, but the sample was a very small picture, I thought that it was just a little too dark but maybe the 8x10 will look good. Well, his skin was dark and orange! I most likely will not be ordering pictures from them anymore. The biggest problem I have with Lifetouch is them messing up my family's photo for my church's directory! It has happened TWICE! I have four children. Two wear glasses and the other two do not. After the photoshoot, there was glare on my daughter's eyewear. They said they can fix that in post. Ok, cool. I get the free 8x10 and they literally COPIED & PASTED one of my non-glasses-wearing child's eyes over her's! So unprofessional!!! The next year that we had family photos done at church, the same problem happens again! This time, my son had glare in his eyewear. They COPY & PASTE my non-glasses-wearing child's eyes OVER HIS GLASSES. As for my daughter, they literally did some clone removal or something and her eye looks botched. Do not depend on Lifetouch! Get with PROFESSIONALS!!!! read more

I came on here to share my own negative experience, and noticed MANY other poor reviews as well. There seems to be a theme with the quality of products and service this company provides. Anyway.... I have to express my utter disappointment with the procedure for viewing proofs and ordering photo packages. School picture day is VERY important to us, because we rely on those photos as Christmas gifts for multiple family members, as well as for our holiday greeting cards. Based on numerous previous experiences with other school photography companies and professional photographers, I fully expected to be able to view all of my son's preschool proofs online prior to ordering, so that my husband and I could choose the ones that WE felt best represented our son's personality. I have never before encountered a photographer or photography service that only presents three grainy, low-quality images and expects customers to make decisions based on such limited (and poor quality) options. Parents should be able to view the proofs in advance. That seems to be common practice among other photographers, and there are plenty of methods to watermark or otherwise prevent the proofs from being "stolen." So it makes no sense why Lifetouch would not offer this option. The photographers hastily select what they perceived to be the "best" images; however, they don't know the individual children and they don't know which images the parents would have chosen. The individual who is purchasing the photos should have final say. A lack of flexibility in the package options should also be noted. We live in a digital world, and it's to be expected that many parents want to have electronic copies of their child's photos (e.g. for ordering photo cards). There are only two choices available that offer the digital images; there really should be more digital options available. For example, I wanted only two of the three images that Lifetouch selected. But I don't have the option to purchase just those two -- I have to take all three of them (at $20 per image). So what that means is that I would be stuck paying $20 for an image that I don't like and will never use. Why wouldn't there be an option to purchase digital copies of one, two, OR all three images? Why are the choices all three or none? Furthermore, in speaking with our center's director, it appears that Lifetouch did a poor job communicating this process with her, since she fully expected that parents would be able to view proofs online and was surprised to learn this was not the case. So I have to wonder if Lifetouch was deceitful in any way, not clearly communicating that their process is completely different from pretty much every other company out there. Perhaps the worst part of this is that I reached out to Lifetouch last week about this, sending two emails via their website. NO ONE bothered to respond to me in spite of the fact that I specifically requested a response. It's pretty obvious that customer service is not a priority. When I did call to follow up today and express my concerns, I was basically told "this is just how we do it, it's how we've always done it" and there was no effort made to be flexible or work with me. If Lifetouch continues to treat its customers with so little respect, they will lose business. This industry is competitive, and as someone who has worked in the education system for many years, I've had much better service from other school photography providers. I would NOT recommend using Lifetouch. They have demonstrated that the customer experience is not important to them, and they don't care about meeting their clients' needs. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the absolute worst company when taking pictures. My granddaughter who is in pre K has had three years of pictures taken buy this company. I will do everything I can to convince our school not to use this company in the further. read more

My goodness! This company is challenged at every level - website, customer service, photo skills...you name it. I actually just joined Yelp because I've never had an experience with such a clueless company. They are lucky that schools are their clients, because schools are inherently lazy. Instead of observing the obvious, and seeking out a better provider of school portrait services, they will just keep doing the same thing year after year, because it's the easy thing to do. read more

There isn't a local Lifetouch location where I live so i'm writing my review on here because this is supposedly the headquarters. I scheduled my senior pictures online and showed up 15 minutes early as the website suggests and waited over and hour and a half for my pictures to be taken. It's funny that the company calls themselves professional considering this. If this wasn't pretty much mandatory for my school, I wouldn't ever go to them again. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

I've been working Picture Day at our school for years. I have never seen photographers take so little interest or time while photographing students. Crap service I paid for my pictures in September. They were lousy, so I had them retaken, for 2 children. Over a month after the retake, I got the new pictures. For one son. And no digital images for either, again despite having paid for them at that point 2 months ago. After several e-mails, with (still) no pictures of one son and no digital images of either, today I hunted down their phone number (you can't find it on their website, btw. Just a way to send another useless e-mail), I spoke with a brain trust named Jeff, who, after 25 minutes on the phone, during which time he asked me (not lying to you) 6 times for my address, and 3 times for the grades of my children, he told me that the missing pictures were on the way, but the he wanted me to confirm the shipping address so there would "be no problems"....interesting. If they already were shipped, how could providing a mailing address possibly help at this point??? I asked about the digital images. He told me he would take care of it and I would have them in 48 hours. At this point I exploded and told him someone needed to get off their chair, find the pictures, and send me the links within 2 hours. He said he would, and then told me I could call him back if I didn't get them. AHA! Accountability, you might say. You would be wrong. "Jeff" would not give me his last name, his phone extension, his e-mail address, or any other way to reach him if (guessing "when") the digital images do not arrive today. But I was free to starat over with some new rocket scientist over there to chase down the products I paid for in early September. A horrible company, with horrible products and horrible service. If you are reading these reviews to decide whether to hire them, Run. Screaming. Your 5th grade sone would do a better job taking and delivering the pictures. read more

This company deserves a big fat 0. I've been going back and forth with them for about 2 weeks now. They sent me my child's school pictures and his eyes were closed. I sent them an email asking them to please send me the pictures that were taken with his eyes open, assuming that it was sent by accident. To make a long story short, they have no pictures that were taken with his eyes open and the only picture that they have with his eyes closed will be the photo that they use in the yearbook! Im extremely irritated with this company because not only do we not have a choice on who takes the school pictures but we have dropped so much money in the past with them. read more

I am so angry that we do not have a choice but to use this terrible company for our school photos. They took my money, did not give my daughter her photos when the rest of the kids received theirs. I called and they could not find her pictures. I was told that they would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours..... 8 days later they sent me an email stating that I she would have to do the retakes in December because her digital image was "damaged". Please explain to me how a digital image gets damaged? I wonder if I had not called if they would have just kept my money and never sent my pictures. This company needs better management, customer service skills and general organization. I would never recommend them and I will be hard pressed to ever spend my money there again. For the price that they charge I could book a private photographer and get better quality photos. If I could rate it 0 stars I would. read more

My son's portraits looked great. The problem I am having is that I placed an order on 4/11/20 Friday evening online, then realized that I can get a better deal if I order a different package. So I immediately called Monday morning at 8 a.m. to cancel the order and placed a different order. Shabana, who I spoke with assured me the order was cancelled and that I will get my refund within 3 to 7 business days. I received my credit card bill and realized that I was never refunded. I called Prestige Portraits on April 27th and waited on the phone for 1 hour and 15 minutes before someone picked up. Samantha who I spoke with - told me that I will get my refund within 2 to 3 weeks once their labs are open and they can cancel the original order. I understand that the Corona virus has pretty much shut down all businesses, but when I originally called to cancel my order, the lab was still open. I don't understand what happened when I first called. Now I have a huge credit card bill that I must pay upfront in order not to incur finance charges. I am very disappointed!!!! read more

The WORST customer service I have EVER encountered! (Walmart used to be my worst and now Lifetouch has stole that title). WHERE THE HECK ARE MY PHOTOS??? Don't even bother calling the customer service number, no body answers it ever. I was waiting for my call to answered for 2.5 HOURS yesterday and nobody picked up the phone! So I called the phone number listed for "centers" and left a message. No reply. The director at my preschool and 7 other parents have tried to call to figure out where our photos are. Between us we have left 10 voice messages and spent hours doing something we should not have to do. Lifetouch was quick to take our money but a month later we still have no photos or information. I called corporate today and got the switchboard operator, she was nice transferred me over to an actual person (hooray!) but then I was told they had to talk to the preschool director. So I relayed the message she called maybe 10 mins after I hung up and had to leave a message. So we are back at square 1. This is infuriating!! To say the least. I don't normally write reviews -- especially negative ones -- partly because I know from experience how hard it is to run a customer-oriented business. I had to call Lifetouch, since their website was not functioning to accept orders. . . After spending AN HOUR on the phone with 2 different Lifetouch reps, I (think I) finally got the picture order completed. The first rep took 1/2 hour to take the whole order, including credit card number, and then the call got cut off. The order was not in the system when I called back. The second rep slowly went through the whole process again, both reps having difficulty with the English language and struggling with hearing, asking questions a number of times, over and over, because they were receiving the calls from a very noisy call center. The rep couldn't find a portrait "look", which was right on the brochure. All for a $30 school picture package -- oh, wait, $35, since they couldn't send it to the school!
