The lady taking my order asked if they could put some pink flowers in also to make it all "pop". I agreed. I made a point of telling her I wanted this cake COVERED IN YELLOW FLOWERS. She seemed to understand. I even offered to pay an extra amount to ensure it was OVER THE TOP. She assured me she understood the assignment. When my husband brought the cake home, I knew by the look on his face that something wasn't right. 1/3 of the right side of the cake has orange flowers with some kind of blue vines. NOTHING AT ALL LIKE I ORDERED. I even called back the day after I ordered this cake to make sure the baker knew my instructions. Not sure I'll go back for special orders any more. If I would, I would have to take a picture so their understanding of over the top decorating is in line with mine. I'm embarrassed now to present this cake at a 96 year old birthday party. It's just a normal plain cake with about 12 little flowers in the right side. No yellow flowers. No pink flowers. Blue vines?? Maybe this is their quality and I'm used to something else. But communication was definitely off on this order.

I like the old fashioned candy section: coconut patties, flying saucers, peppermint sticks, and more. The store has an impressive selection of types of candy. This location also has an ice cream shop. I recently found out that they ship their goods. I ordered the cherry cordials 3 days before Mother's Day and they arrived promptly and packaged well--even included free gift wrapping. My only complaint is the prices can be a little steep. However, I don't mind paying extra for homemade items, especially when the quality is consistently great like O'Shea's.

It did also have a sort of weird layout where it looked like the ovens were maybe up some stairs in the back but that is not really anything that the customers need to know. After looking over the cupcakes in the display case my wife and I decided to split the lemon and blueberry cupcake which had a blueberry filling and also the salted caramel one. We ended up taking these home and then eating them later in the night. They were both decent cupcakes but the opinions of my wife and myself differed as to which one was better. I preferred the salted caramel as it had a nice strong caramel taste while she preferred the lemon and blueberry which I thought needed to be stronger. In the end though we were satisfied and happy to have been able to try more than one flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Buying the cupcakes was a breeze and the flavors of them were pretty good as well.
