I am visiting Michigan and I had to take a stop at the local Lifetime. I am so glad that I stopped by! Jason lead a fantastic office strength class! This work out was exactly what I needed! The fact that he jumped in to the work out to help us stay motivated and work harder was outstanding! I am a person who loves competition, and Jason definitely held me accountable, and helped me push myself even more! Not only was the class fantastic, but the gym was immaculate! All of the team was so nice and so welcoming! This will have to be a part of my visit to Michigan every time I come!

I had a brand new eexpensive basketball stolen from the basketball court. I blinked and it was gone. I wouldn't bring anything into this facility that you don't want stolen. Management told me "sorry we don't take responsibility". What a joke! There are cameras in the basketball courts but they said they would not run them. Of note, please see the attached pictures of what this facility has in terms of their basketballs for you to practice with. Again, what a joke! They are all at least 10 years old and deflated.

I have been a member at this gym for maybe more than 15 years. I'm 21 years old and I love this place. I've tried Powerhouse just to see if id enjoy the amenities and the cheaper monthly rate but I just ended up only going there twice and got sick of it. Stuck with my membership here and I'm happy. Employees are helpful and very nice. Locker rooms are always cleaned. When I say always I mean there are at least 3 ladies in there daily cleaning that locker room. When I go late at night I get to see the full effect of the employees cleaning the showers and floors like crazy. It's amazing how much they really do. Yes, the towel bin may get full here and there but what do you expect? It's a gym that has a minimum of 50 people in the locker room daily. (Tip: if u ever go to the gym around 10am expect that locker room to be crazy packed with parents getting ready for work!) Machines are always cleaned. If you aren't satisfied for some reason, there are wipes in so many locations to clean the machine yourself. Employees walk around at night and clean up the floor and rack the weights and basically put everything back to where it originally belongs. Personal Trainers here are so nice and friendly. They will give you great tips and they're definitely worth it. Lifetime Bucks are great too! You get free lifetime money and can use it towards personal training, the spa, activities, etc... Overall, I have no idea how anyone can rate this gym below a 5 Star. I love it and I really hope this review helps. Whoever the people are that are leaving the bad reviews - I absolutely disagree with everything they had to say. Give it a try. Its membership price and fee is pricey but it's definitely worth it. I got so many people to transfer from Powerhouse Gym to here. Definitively try it out.

The entire pool is empty but my ten and eleven year old daughters can't go in?!? What a ridiculous policy.

After taking a year and a half off, my family and I decided to give it another shot. The swim lessons have been great and the instructors are fantastic. However, some of the policies are completely ridiculous. For example, there is a sign by the indoor pool that states "ENTIRE POOL RESERVED FOR AGES 12 & OLDER" I pay approximately $160 per month for the family membership with our primary use being the pool. I have three children all under 12 years of age and they cannot use the indoor pool. Even though their swim lessons have been good, their pool policy eliminates my family from using the one area we pay a premium for so we now have to look elsewhere for a membership and swim lessons.

Condoms... This place is gross...

Someone mentioned Christie and hip hop - I agree; she's young, but she's the BEST. Anyone know where she teaches now? She left Lifetime.

Back for an UPDATED REVIEW- 2 years later!!!…read more The Anytime Fitness at Farmington Hills location on 12 mile road owned & run by Matt is by far the BEST gym and best gym experience I've ever had. Even better than Lifetime Fitness. The level of support, accessibility, cleanliness, equipment, hours of operation, atmosphere and environment (I could go on and on) is extremely superb. I have lost over 100 lbs in the past year and I definitely attribute that to this gym and its facilities. I recommend to everyone I know, I've added my own family members and plan to add more when they move here, and I am so pleased with Matt and his team of trainers. Matt's professionalism yet welcoming manner really sets the tone for the whole gym. I was always looking for a gym where I didn't feel like I'm being watched, or waiting forever for machines, and a place that was NOT intimidating. This gym has all that and way more. If you want a life-changing experience, and to really achieve your fitness and lifestyle goals, you should seriously consider Anytime Fitness as your gym-home. This is my go-to place when I'm down and when I'm up! I always walk out feeling way better than when I came in.

Always clean. Usually not too busy (evenings are probably the most crowded). Decent equipment for…read morethe size of the gym. Free weights are great, cardio is a little limited. Great variety of machine weights.

Thanks to my Aunt De-De and Uncle Warren, I was talked into getting up pretty early last Saturday…read moremorning to meet them for a workout at Art of Strength. I didn't know what to expect other than an intense workout, and that's exactly what I received! The class I attended was split into two smaller groups. One went with Mike and one with Peter. I went with Peter and my workout included cardio (with a stationary bike, rowing machine, ski machine, and jumping jacks), lunges, upper body using a medicine ball and ropes, and a ton of squats. I liked how we kept switching exercises so I didn't get bored at all. I also liked that Peter took into account injuries of those in our group and gave them alternative exercises that were right for their situation... trainers / instructors don't always do that. The folks in Mike's group (including my aunt, uncle, cousin, brother, and a few friends) were all out of breath and dripping sweat by the end of their workout. I could tell that Mike's reputation is to be tough and kind of a smart-ass, but it works. He's a huge motivator for those in the gym. I loved the energy at AOS and I would totally workout here if I lived in Michigan full time. I was a little nervous after the workout that I'd be too sore to stand up at my sister's wedding that evening, but I felt great and had a fabulous time at the wedding... Thanks again to Peter for the workout and to Aunt De-De for motivating me to get my ass to AOS that morning!

This has been my home gym for a year now and I absolutely love it here! Like most people, I was…read moreloyal to PF but once my focus changed from losing fat to weight lifting, I made the switch to Edge since PF freaks out and rings that dumb alarm whenever you accidentally drop a weight. They have multiple packages to choose from and they aren't too expensive considering all that you get. They have a women's only room, a cinema with cardio equipment, personal training, plenty of classes, a bar for protein shakes (not really good IMO) and a kids zone. The locker room is always clean. I'm a 5:00am gym freak so it's the same 15-30 people in there with me everyday but this place gets PACKED after work...especially now since it's New Years Resolution time. You have to wear a mask and some of the cardio equipment is closed off for social distancing.

They care about making money and do not care about their customers. This club has extremely bad business practices and the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. When I signed this contract I was under the impression that it was a month to month contract and could cancel at any time (which they explicitly said). What they don't tell you is that you have to have a medical reason, you moved, or joining the military. I NEVER saw this contract until I was trying to cancel. I would have never signed a year contract and never in my life had a gym put me in a year contract. Also, you are paying 2 annual memberships a year. They have the second annual fee being charged the month before the end of my contract. They will not do anything to try to waive the second annual fee even if you are non renewing. If I could give this business negative stars I would.

In my short period at Motiv8 I lost 1.8lbs, but more importantly I LOST 1.2% OF BODY FAT! That is a great feeling, also that I can now do 15 pushups before burning out - when I started I could only do 10! When the new year hits, I'll be joining! You should come join with me!
