Entire neighborhoods were destroyed from this interracial conflict from nearly a century ago. The original Mount Zion was burned down very shortly after it was built - this literally happened within just a few months. The current church was built many years later and has a plaque you can read to learn about this important but sad part of Tulsa history. Although the area is home to many homeless people (particularly near the overpass), it's right next to OSU-Tulsa so it's a safe area. When in the area, take a few minutes to check it out!

We found out that the new pastors are reecievin coaching from A prosperity preaching church in Texas. All they seem to do is try to recruit you to help them and try to attempt to get your money. It is really a shame because the people there are so nice and friendly. The pastor and his wife, however are not. there are so many talented and spiritual people that have left the church and we had never figured out why. they have recently been many families leave, and it's because of the new pastors and the toxic behavior they exhibit behind the scenes. Stalin and swastikas are also featured in the window art. A man propositioning a prostitute is also depicted to represent the presence of evil & sin in our world. The 3-story building is very impressive with a domed roof and majestic ionic columns on the porticos. Built with Oklahoma Limestone, the church is self-cleaning on it's exterior.
