There was probably over 60 people and all seated within a 20 foot radius. Also, We arrived at 9am because their website says service starts at 9, and instead we waited till 10am for service to start. Music was extremely loud and lasted almost 45 minutes. Standing so long got us tired very quickly. People then sat literally right next to us (less than a foot away) with their being probably 100 empty seats and they decided not to wear a mask either, needless to say, we left and aren't coming back.

The teaching is biblical and I don't find myself dozing off or spacing out during the sermon. We have a variety of programs but the best part about this church is the life groups. These are small groups you attend before or after service and they become a second family to you. We have Sunday school for kids and nursery for the really little ones. However, children are always welcome in the service as well. If you come to visit, be prepared for a warm welcome.

Then after driving past this church for a while, we took the chance and went to the 10:30 service. It was one of the BEST decisions we made. The people were welcoming, friendly and loving. They had great outreach programs (MOPS & AWANA) They have healthy and Active groups for all ages from nursery to senior citizens. This church is like our second family and couldn't imagine our lives without them (We still keep in contact with our life group from our new duty station). This is a church worth walking into, this is a church growing and healthy and full of love and wonderful people and families. This is a church whose focus and eyes remain on God and our lives have been made richer and has been made fuller by them! We thank God every day for this church family!

They have a lot of compassion for the less-fortunate, and even serve free hot meals on Mondays. The really show they care. Not just a hot meal, but they offer a small food bank, free bread, and even a clothing bank! I love their bands they use! What blew me away was how awesome their teen band was! They are very, very impressive and they sing great too! They rotate different Pastors so you don't get the same one every week. I like that sometimes. But all of them are great! And funny sometimes! This church gets packed, so you might want to show up early if you want to be assured a parking spot or a seat. The cool thing is that if you are here for the first time, like maybe to check it out, they have visitor parking for first-timers! The only thing I used to think (and joke about) was it seemed they had "spies" who kept watch on the visitor spots so they could be sure to welcome them at the door! Nope, I was wrong... they do this to EVERYONE! You WILL feel welcomed and loved at Rainier View! They also have a lot of small groups, like a men's group, women's group, youth group, recovery group and even a singles group! Something for everyone! Not a lot more I can say about Rainier View except that you WILL love this church! By the way, they sing contemporary praise songs NOT out of hymnals, and NO speaking in tongues here (a concern of mine and I don't like hearing) so I really feel comfortable here! They offer free coffee and cookies in the foyer, but for those who desire more, they even have an espresso bar right there in the lobby! Oh my gosh! Back in 2006 I was diagnosed with a very major illness requiring me to stop working and have surgery within a month! It was an ER doctor who faxed a stop work order to my employer! Well, needless to say, I suddenly had no income and had no way to pay my upcoming rent nor my phone and power bills. I was forced to contact LOVE Inc, who called me saying they found a church who was going to pay 2 months of my power bill PLUS one month of my rent. But when they told me it was Rainier View, I almost started crying. This was my church, but they didn't know me because I've always been one of those quiet ones who tend to sit alone in the back row. I personally went in as soon as I was back on my feet after recovering from my surgery and thanked them and introduced myself as the person they helped. It was so nice of them, and I felt a need to thank them. The Lord certainly made sure there was a church big enough to fit all those who want to worship Him, then He blessed them all with very warm and loving hearts. God Bless you, RVCC! Here is their website so you can check them out yourself! http://www.rainierview.org/index.html
