I'm a new mom who had never tried acupuncture before, and honestly--I wish I had gone to Dr. Lisa sooner. I went in for shoulder pain that had been bothering me for a while, and wow... I can't believe how much better I felt after seeing her. She took the time to understand exactly where the pain was coming from and explained everything she was doing, which made me feel really comfortable as a first-timer. Her technique is amazing, and you can tell she really knows what she's doing. After the session, I felt more alert and my shoulder felt much better--looser, less tight, and way less painful. It honestly surprised me how effective it was. I'll definitely be going back and planning to do a few more sessions. I also tried the infrared sauna pod, and it was AMAZING. It was so relaxing and really helped with recovery and overall soreness--such a great add-on to the treatment. If you're on the fence about trying acupuncture, especially as someone who's never done it before, Dr. Lisa is the person to go to. She completely changed my perspective and actually fixed my shoulder pain. read more

Dr. Lisa Jeong is a life-saver! About a month ago I was in complete agony with neck and shoulder spasms which sent me to the ER twice in one week. One session provided immense relief and I was almost pain free after three. I've been following her dietary advice and have seen a difference in not only my joint pain but in my energy and sleep. I tell everyone I know what a God-send she's been. Thank you Lisa!!!!! read more

Dr. Lisa is works wonders! I highly recommend her (plus her spa is super clean, updated and decorated adorably)! I came in for my very first acupuncture treatment ever about a month ago. I had a virus that my Primary care doctor couldn't diagnose. It was 15 days from the onset of symptoms and while I was slowly getting better, my low fevers and unique symptoms like swelling in my face still were not going away. To start the appointment she spent so much time talking to me about my symptoms (from bad sleep to incessantly cold feet) and what each meant from the Traditional Eastern Medicine method of diagnosis. We talked about my current eating habits vs what I should be eating to give my body what it needed to get back in balance and heal. I was ALL ears and although I'm usually nervous, I felt completely at ease in her care. After the consultation portion, she completed the acupuncture treatment, focusing on areas hat were specific to what she felt my body needed at the time. She even helped me with some breathing techniques (amazing and restorative in their own right) during the treatment and by the time I went home I had already seen/felt a big difference. (My toes are never cold anymore) I have already been back and plan to keep it up monthly as long as I can. If you are thinking about energy work, or exploring acupuncture for any reason, definitely come see Dr. Lisa. You won't regret it! read more

Incredible experience with great lasting results. Dr. Lisa is super friendly and knowledgeable in the field of Chinese Medicine and also wellness and beauty. I have tried cupping and bought a package and also tried the sauna pod, which was relaxing and made me sweat. Her place is immaculately clean and the modern decor gives it a nice ambiance. The cupping was great and I really felt the difference. Getting all of the toxins out of the body and then doing the pod is such a great and benefiting experience. I also have bought several of her medicinal teas--which are great for metabolism, sleep, and relieving stress. I am looking forward to my next visit to this cute boutique med spa. I am interested in trying her acupuncture services down the road. Dr. Lisa also does lifting facials that help your skin with collagen reproduction. Great place and highly recommend. read more

I was referred to this spa by Dr. Lisa Jeong from Millbrae. She recognized I was suffering from Acne and I've never gotten a Facial in my life before. I always thought facials were for women (I know, I'm stupid, I'm a guy). Dr. Lisa talked me into it, well, not really, I just wanted to get rid of my acne fast. Before I write about my experience, let me just say this spa is beautiful. Very well put together. 5 Stars all the Way. What else do you expect after a few weeks of Grand Opening. It's clean and refreshing to walk into a Spa w/o laying down on dirty stained sheets. The Facial -- was painful but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Truth is, I didn't go solo. I bought my wife with me. I still wanted her reassurance to do this facial with me, hey, it's my first time. The esthetician Anna, gave me an amazing facial. All I can say is the next day, my acne cleared and I bought a few products to follow up with regime. I thoroughly enjoyed having someone massage my face for about 60 mins, I fell asleep the last 15 mins or so. My wife got the collagen and whitening therapy from another employee. I forgot to ask her name. Overall, we will definitely be back. Reasonable Rates. Parking can be challenging since it's like Spa Row there. Too bad they didn't offer massage services yet since I wanted to sleep another hour. We will be back and hopefully they will have a massage therapist by the time we come back! THANK YOU!!! read more

What a nice birthday gift from my dad. He usually comes here for acupuncture and he treated me to a facial from here. The spa is tiny but it's also super cute with the way they make use of the space. My facial was the first time and my girl was very gentle. It was so relaxing I fell asleep. Everyone was super nice and professional. I would definitely come back for another treatment. read more

I went here to try one of the sauna pods after my friend had recommended me this place. This was my first experience using a sauna pod and I was not disappointed!! Prior to this, I was a bit scared because I've never been to a sauna before and I get really irritated with hot weather/temperature but this is completely different! This sauna pod did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. It made me feel very de-stressed and relaxed. Everything about it was so relaxing that you would be able to fall asleep. There's also an alexa speaker so you can listen to the music of your choice while you're in the pod. I would rate the sauna pods a solid 5/5 and would definitely consider their other treatments. read more

This is a great place to get work done for my ailments. So far I've had several treatments of TCM which include acupuncture, cupping, tui na and the taking of herbs. All of these treatments has helped with my tennis elbow, sore muscles, pinch nerves and insomnia. But in general the acupuncture and tui na helps to rejuvenate my mind as well as my body. I feel like a new person after each session. And just recently I've tried the pods for the first time and I actually felt like I lost some pounds. If anything I can feel all the toxins leaving my body. Lisa will try to physically understand you and your problem and from there she'll reccomend the course of action. I been to a few acupuncturists but now I only see Lisa. read more

I'm lucky I found Dr. Lisa. She is very kind and knowledgeable in so many aspects of health and nutrition. I got some very helpful recommendations on diet and supplements that's definitely helping. I received several treatments of acupuncture, cupping and herbs for congestion/post nasal drip and low energy. After only a few sessions my post nasal drip was almost completely gone. My energy also improved. Her treatment room is very calm, clean and peaceful. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their health and well being. read more

This is a long overdue review. I chanced upon this place by accident when I bought a Groupon for their Infrared Sauna Pods back in late 2018. The place is very clean, have that peaceful vibe and Lisa is very accommodating and friendly. During that visit I saw she had cupping therapy and body massage. I immediately booked my next appointment for cupping/massage and have been going to see Lisa since. She is a wealth of knowledge and is a miracle worker. I have had back issues and I don't go any where else but her for my back issues. You should give this place a try. You will definitely feel relaxed/refreshed after just one session. read more

Went to Life AcuMed spa and first impression was the place was very tranquil, nice and relaxing once you enter. The staff and owner Lisa was very friendly. I did the dry pod for 40 mins where your whole body is in a dry sauna pod and light is emitted. After the session I felt more alert and my joints felt much better. Will try again and probably get a few more sessions. read more

I came here because I was having pain and weakness in my shoulders and arms. Dr. Tao was able to pinpoint the issues, perform acupuncture, and suggest exercises that I could do at home to heal. Dr. Tao also prescribed a mixture of herbs that he personally tailored to my needs (I haven't gotten this anywhere else!). After taking the pills he prescribed, some of the things I noticed is I feel less stressed, have fewer cramps, have more energy, and feel healthier. The atmosphere is exactly what you would want from a spa, and more. It's relaxing and open. I haven't tried the other services yet but based on my experience and interactions with the staff, I'm looking forward to their other services. It's cool how this place can help you target your internal and external needs; I'll be booking the facials soon (and maybe the infrared sauna pod). Treat yourself ;) read more

I started seeing Dr Jeong for shin splints, which resolved after 2 appointments! Since then, I will see her when I've had muscle spasms or anxiety. Most recently I have started see her more regularly for holistic health which has been most helpful. What I really appreciate is how she looks at the entire body, verses whatever ailment I'm usually seeing her for. She does amazing work and I would recommend her to anyone who is want to improve their health or wellness. read more

I was seeing at Dr Lisa at Life Acupuncture and she had told me about her new spa in San Mateo. I thought I would give it a try since I loved receiving Acupuncture treatments from her for my chronic shoulder pain from my line of work. Dr. Lisa always makes my shoulder back to normal again. First off, the location was great. Right on 25th Ave., and I had no problem finding parking right in front. The clinic was modern, tastefully furnished and most importantly...CLEAN. The esthetician Anna was the person who did my facial, eyelash extensions and wax. I had the collagen facial which was about 60 mins which also included a mini massage on the shoulders and neck. Anna was polite and quiet but I didn't mind because I wanted to relax during my "me time". Then I got my lashes done after my facial and my lashes turned out great, natural but full, just as I like them. No complaints here. Loving them!!! It's only been a week and a half but they are still holding up great. My last thing I got from my appt was a Brazilian wax. They used the blue hard wax, not the cheap liquidity wax that a lot of nail salons use, so pain was minimal. So to sum it up, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!! They also offer a lot of other services that I can't wait to try out. Stay tuned!!! read more

For me first impressions are key. This spa has a very beautiful reception area. The spa rooms very clean and professional looking. My daughter and I went for a facial last week, we both loved how Dr. Lisa took time to explain the process and the products that were being used during the facial. She was very gentle and accommodating with our skin type. We both look forward to coming back for future facials. We will be recommending this spa to all of our friends and family. read more

I decided to give this place a try since I've been looking for a place to get my facials. I'm on me dice that makes my cheeks puffy at times so my skin isn't what it used to be. Again I took my mother and it would have been nice to have done it at the same time and preferably in the same room but we understood because we were a walk-in. Lisa was great I felt she took her time doing my facial. I will give it another try. read more

I'm so glad I found Dr. Lisa! I've been seeing her regularly for Tui Na message and cupping. What a difference it made to my health! Every session with Lisa does wonder not only physically but also mentally. It helped remove blockages and bring positive energy. I felt relaxed, balanced and more connected to my body. Lisa is so knowledgeable and deeply cares about her patients. On top of getting awesome Tui Na, every session feels like a health consultant to me. She would spend time understand my diet, my health-related habits, chat about recent life changes, etc. During the chat, she would generously share her knowledge and suggest different ways to improve my overall health. I tried food or methods she suggested and they are such a life changer! Now a lot of them are incorporated into my daily life. Thanks to Lisa, I never felt so aware of and connected with my body. I would highly recommend her to anyone serious about health. read more

Dr. Lisa is an absolute miracle worker!!! I have seen MANY TCM professionals over the past years and none have made the amount of progress in 4-5 treatments that she makes in 1. She truly takes your health and wellness to heart and cares deeply about helping you. She doesn't just treat the symptoms, she treats the whole body and actually takes the time to explain things in a kind, gentle way that makes sense. Dr. Lisa won't just poke you with needles and ship you out the door in a rush to see the next client. She spends a lot of time with you, thoroughly treating your symptoms. She does so much more than just Accupuncture...cupping, electro-stimulation, plucking, scraping, massage, etc. I am so grateful that I found her and am now bringing my mom, husband, friends, and anyone else in need to see her. read more

Love this place ! Lisa is the best :) she understands the needs of the skin and treats it accordingly. I'm the happiest :)

Went to see Dr. Lisa a few months ago, I was feeling tired and ran down and needed a little reset. Her massage technique (Tui Na) and acupuncture have helped a lot, improved my sleep and has increased my appetite. Dr. Lisa is a good listener and tries to get to know you before making any recommendations. Her recommendations are based on your lifestyle and long term health improvement overall. I have more energy after my treatments and I feel confident in her knowledge of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Her place provides a calm and serene atmosphere for your treatment. read more

Why yelp doesn't have 10 stars? Dr. Lisa Jeong is a superstar. I started to see Dr. Jeong over 1 year ago for acupuncture and massage and I saw her every week since then. I am a physician trained in western medicine and I have always integrated my health treatments with Chinese medicine. I have had acupuncture for over 10 years now and I can say that Dr. Jeong is certainly in the top 1% of her field. My health has improved dramatically since I have seen her. I lost 27 pounds and my skin looks amazing. I don't have any more joint pain and my asthma and irritable bowel syndrome are gone. Dr. Jeong knows what she is doing! I love the new spa because it makes me feel so pampered. I can spend there the entire day: facial, sauna pod, vanquish for weight loss, electro-stimulation to tone my skin, massage and acupuncture... I have done it all at the spa and I can never have enough! Dr. Lisa Jeong takes care of me with great professional expertise and incredible grace. I feel like new every time I see her. She restored my health and well-being inside and out! And now my entire family goes to see her. My husband is a surgeon and calls her "Doctor Magic Hands" since she successfully treated a stubborn pain in his shoulder. My mom said that since she has been seeing Lisa she feels 10 years younger. She lost 14 pounds and her back pain is gone. We all love Lisa's teas and her skin products. My sister loves so much her skin products that she brings them with her overseas every time she comes to visit. We cannot recommend Dr. Lisa Jeong enough! She is a true healer! read more

I need more stars for this review! I've been trying to get rid of the access fat from my waist line and hip areas. Tried regular exercising, special diets, and other weight-loss programs on the market, but none seemed to have the same effects as one body contouring treatment from Dr. Jeong at Life AcuMed Spa. Treatments are painless and comfortable, most importantly effective! I've shed inches off after completing a 4x package. I'm much more confident and happier with my body now than I've been for the past 10 years. I highly recommend their services here at Life AcuMed Spa! read more

I got treated before by Dr. Jeong for Bell's palsy and I was pretty much healed up. For some reason though, my face started to feel stiff again (been about a year since I've felt my bell's palsy come back, gotta take care of myself better). So I decided to go see her again at this newly opened Spa she had opened. I got acupuncture for my face and a meridian therapy to top it off. The meridian therapy was something new. It was a machine that helps open up the meridian channels by applying micro electrical stimulation. I was also feeling a bit of pain and had really stiff calves so I decided to get the meridian therapy for my calves also. To my delight! after getting these treatment I instantly felt results. My face was almost back to normal and my calves no longer hurt and didn't feel like my calves had rocks in them. I was even more surprised when I woke up the next day, shaved and ran my had across my face. It was actually really smooth! That was something extra :) I don't take care of my face that much and it gets really rough so I really noticed when it was super smooth. Very satisfied with the results! read more

I made an acupuncture appointment to address some ongoing lower back pain and muscle stiffness. The receptionist Shelby was very friendly and knowledgeable helping me decide which treatment to try, and also helped me set up my appointment the process was so easy and stress free. Dr. Tao performed my acupuncture treatment, he did an excellent job making sure I understood what he was doing, why he was doing it, and the results it would yield. Outside of the acupuncture treatment he also gave me tips on how I can ease my back pain on my own time every day which I found very helpful. The treatment was painless I only felt a slight pinch when the needles were put in place and I could feel my muscles relax, afterwords my back definitely felt looser. My pain did not instantly disappear however I found my back has been far less of a bother and at the end of the day a big improvement from how I felt before the treatment. Overall and very professional and enjoyable experience, looking forward to my next visit. read more
