They offer many traditional home-made German specialities, often with a successful modern international twist. Depending on the day and dish the food can however vary between good and extraordinary. They don't have an English menu and don't speak much English though. We had to connect to their wifi and google the items on the menu. The waitress, Brigit, spoke a bit of English and did her best to help us out. She was so nice They have a full bar and many types of beer! Got to try a few german beer and gluhvine and it was so good hehe We tried their pork steak and duck dish and both were very delicious. Duck was a bit dry and heavy but pork steak was AMAZING. Over the top. Creamy sauce on top of the steak, and comes with vegetables and potatoes. Please get this if you go. I was not very hungry but I couldn't stop eating the pork dish! Amazing food, amazing service, cute interior, lots of beer! No reason not to go

I basically was given a whole cow and pig to feast on. Felt like I was in game of thrones and almost didn't use my knife and fork. All the food was well seasoned and cooked well. I spent €17 for 2 people. It included 2 entrees, 1 huge ass bier which we split and 1 dessert. Also the service is very friendly and make you feel welcome. I recommend the vanilla ice cream with cherry liquor for dessert. You will get drunk! Eat here if you want to try typical German dishes for a great price with friendly service!

The service is fast and very friendly. Special wishes like an additional sauce was not a problem and caused no extra charges. Here you get real local dishes. If you are looking for something special and off the beaten path come here. I will definitely come back to try the other dishes.

Anyway, there are many reasons to make the trek along the Spree through Treptower Park, not least the pleasant location on the river which is means it's attractive to sit outside on a sunny spring or summer day; or for that matter in the depths of winter when it's really cosy down in the hold or in the "Seepavillon" directly by the water with a cosy open fire. We have visited Klipper in all seasons, and the food is consistently good, with an emphasis on fish and traditional German fare - decently sized portions at a reasonable price. We ordered asparagus as it was in season, but on this visit they actually forgot our order. We were sitting there 25 minutes wondering what had happened when the waitress noticed, apologised profusely, offered us drinks on the house and made sure that our food then arrived as quickly as possible - with an extra portion of fish for good measure. So let's agree that this was unusually friendly and excellent service (which is not always the case in Berlin!) Overall: Klipper comes strongly recommended - we'll be back.

The service was attentive and very nice, she made us feel very welcome and just like arriving home. Even though I am always tempted to go for a Schnitzel, which my boyfriend took in the end, I was being diverted to the dark beer Goulash, which just sounded delicious. After a brief wait we got our food and what can I say, it was delicious! My Goulash was very hearty and the meat was incredibly tender, everything you need on a cold night. My boyfriend was also very happy with his Schnitzel. All in all, we had a great evening with good food. Everything fit together, we felt very welcome and we're definitely coming back!
