Lidl is a supermarket chain that hails from Germany. I first visited Lidl when I was in Frankfurt. I was delighted to find that there was one within walking distance from my hotel.
After hearing a few of my colleagues talk about getting snacks from Lidl, I had to follow suit after work . The store is next to Karlskrona train station. I didn't even see it when I rolled into the city a few days ago.
This supermarket is by the waterfront, which is absolutely beautiful. I walked in, got a deep rolling cart ,and started walking around.
Lidl is kind of like Giant Tiger. You have cheap prices on everything. The only difference is that Lidl doesn't have a huge clothing selection like Giant Tiger does.
I loved looking at all the chocolates, candies, and chips. I got enough goodies to bring back home. I also got some hand cream and enjoyed looking at the vegetarian section. I also have never seen crispy duck in the frozen section.
This store is super clean. The aisles are wide and items are clearly marked.
The checkout line was a bit long. I paid with cash. You need to ask for a paper bag if you need one. I had a reusable bag in my purse, so I was fine using that to put all my goodies in.
There is plenty of parking. I'd come here for groceries and the view.
